He is refusing to answer questions O.o

I'm still trying to figure out how he did that to the rim.

My only thought was that there was a boot on it and he torqued it hard enough to rip the rim off the spokes. Never seen anything like it. I don't see damage to the wheel well, so maybe something else happened.

"Witnesses tell us they saw Lynch parked at the scene around 5:45 AM -- roughly two hours before his arrest -- and claim at one point, the running back exited his car to sit on the curb with the driver-side door wide open."

I'm no lawyer type person but don't the police have to actually catch you in the act?  If he was just chilling on the curb how do you prove he was actually driving under the influence?

I'm certainly not defending him as it seems like he was driving under the influence, but couldn't he just go the Shaggy route of "Wasn't me"..?

Most states, sitting in/by your car turned off, in possession of the keys is reason enough for a DUI.  You hear stories of folks, knowingly too drunk to drive, trying to sleep it off in a parked car, being arrested for a DUI as they had the keys in the possession, so they were considered the "operator" of said vehicle.

As for him on the curb, the car didn't just magically get to that point. To everyone else's point, hire someone (hell, hire me) to drive you around. Be responsible

It looks like the rim is carbon fiber. I would assume being made of (fiber reinforced) plastic means they are much less abrasion resistant than metal. A few blocks with the rim exposed to the road probably did the trick.

His lawyer will undoubtedly try this.  We'll see.

Yep.  I passed out in my car once (well, more than once, unfortunately, but was only seen by the cops once).  Slept in the passenger front seat and threw the keys into the way back area.  Was rousted after a few hours and the cop told me if I had the keys within reach, he would have arrested me.

No sense in running in Vegas. Very identifiable car and dude is probably on 50 different cameras.

I rented a Mustang recently and could barely fit comfortably in the seat, and I'm just fat.  How the hell did he fit in that car?

At least it wasn't a hit and run like the last time he was arrested for a car accident.

11k+ alcohol related traffic deaths each year, when will common sense prevail and enforcement prevent this from happening?

5'10. 225 pounds.  38 inch waist.  The car was rather uncomfortable for me. I didn't like the seat bolsters digging into my love handles. They're delicate.

Why not both?  You can buy a car while you have a suspended license from DUIs.

When I was in the army, they told us that if you're sleeping off your booze in the car, toss the keys underneath it first.
