Mrs. Henry watches that show. It's amazing how LA bounces right back as good as new after each weekly major disaster.
Angela Bassett is a talented lovely actress - but her lethal-laser "stink eye" scares the hell out of me. She could cut steel with that thing!

Are they still going to be focusing on Love Hewitt's sad sack character.
Seriously, why is she even in the show?

Frank:
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
Jane Spencer:
Goodyear?
Frank:
No, the worst.

I love that show, it's so hilariously over the top.
I live in L.A., and it's delightful to see it get annihilated every week and then be intact again next week without explanation. At one point the Valley was underwater and there were zoo animals everywhere.

I can't take it seriously enough from the promos to actually watch it without feeling like I'd be somehow damaging my brain.

I mean, I liked Rescue 911 back in the day where they actually had legit, unique 911 cases they dramatically reenacted. But I think part of my hang-up with this is everything they promote happening isn't something that, you know, you really need to call 9-1-1 for. Someone's trapped in a bad car crash? Yeah, you need 9-1-1 for that. Blimp hits a stadium? You know, I think there's already a police presence there that can radio that in.

Also, this thread was done in one.

Haven't watched them since the mid to late 90's but didn't the Simpsons do it too?

I've never seen the show, but goddamn the promos are hilarious.  Tsunami, massive quakes, conjoined twins choking to death, flyaway bouncy houses with kids in them, airplane water landings, flooded elevators...just your every day occurrences for the folks helming the emergency department.

A blimp designed for helium won't lift with hydrogen, which has less lifting power.

If a blimp crashes, the hard part is the bus sized gondola with a few hundred gallons of fuel.

Because she's hot and her voice is cute and she squints.

I watch the Texas spin off, and yeah but it is good clean fun. The actors a good together, it has a good mix of new and familiar faces, and it is competence porn.
