I've always wanted to try that with my cats, but the line between torture/entertainment seems to blurred for me to do it.

I don't need them seeing a crumbled up green t-shirt in the corner and having a PTSD flashback.

It's that time of year when keen gardeners have way too much zucchini on their hands

Maybe I shoulda planted zucchini.

/very disappointing yields in this year's garden

Any neighbor tries giving me that devil vegetable, and it won't end pretty.

I ssed a tip from the RHS website an used upturned 2 litre empty drinks bottles with the bottom removed to target the water to the base of the plant and watered them daily in the UK heatwave. The frkkers were massive! Anyone need several pounds of huge veg?....

My mom tried it with her cat. The cat just looked at her like she was a moron lol.

She probably didn't do a very good job of sneaking up on it and the cat is pretty laid back though.

Grate it, steam it, and let it simmer in its own juices for a while. The stuff's actually got flavor.

Then add garlic.

Usually we include them in our kabobs. Yum.

I had another one last night, but that plant is seriously exceeding my ability to find recipes.

I had a fun exchange with a neighbor/friend in Spokane. We left a huge zucchini on her porch, wrapped up like a baby in swaddling clothes, rang the doorbell and ran back home. It reappeared on our porch, dressed up like (I forget). Then we sent it back disguised as a shark, then she sent it back, etc... After a few iterations of this, it finally appeared on our friend's porch as a loaf of zucchini bread (I used a fresh one, since the original was getting a bit tired). Googly eyes, a fake nose, doll clothes, fairy wings. There are so many options for dressing up zucchini.

So no UZIA? Bummer.

Reminded me of a Tumblr thread that was talking about that and other gardening adventures. About midway down a poster relegated their story of The Squish. A hybrid of squash and zucchini.

Bring them all to me!!!!  Seriously, we love zukes around here.  We go all Forrest Gump on them, and make everything zuke for a few weeks.

Yeah, but when your problem with it is in fact that flavor... bleah

/you do you
//for me they just taste pretty horrid
///can handle zuke bread mostly as it's usually pretty tasteless in that
