Considering recent geopolitical events, having all your production in Taiwan or West Taiwan is not a good idea unless you really want a major shortage problem on your hands when West Taiwan tries to invade and conquer Taiwan.

You're going to have to pardon my utter confusion at the notion of Taiwanoutsourcing manufacturing.

Isn't pretty much every bike frame and most bike parts made in Taiwan. Thought it would be hard to find a bike or parts during the lockdowns?. Just imagine what would happen if there was a blockade

Most are made in mainland China, followed by India, the EU, and then Taiwan.

The smartest thing Taiwan can do is move TSMC and its tech/fab facilities off-island to another country that doesn't give a shiat about the red chinese.

Subby forgot about Motherboards, RAM, phones, laptops, TVs, a myriad of different silicon chips and many other high tech things we can't live without. But congratz on continuing the American myth that China only makes dollar store junk. Does it make you feel better to denigrate these people, so you can ignore the fact that our own countries wouldn't know how to manufacture their way out of a paper bag? Racist as-hole.
