Welp, first things first.
This is an absolute impossibility. (Obviously)

However, seeing as Fark Admins decided to green this trash article. (Yes, they're always looking for click bait to boost the ad revenue)

Perhaps it would be a benefit for Farkers to know more about the Democracy Institute. The "think tank" that conducted the poll.

In the beginning,
The Democracy Institute is a think tank based in Washington, D.C. and London. It was founded in 2006. According to the University of Bath's Tobacco Tactics project, the institute has taken part in pro-tobacco activities, and has previously received funding from the tobacco industry.

The director is Patrick Basham, who is a former adjunct scholar and senior fellow of the Cato Institute. The Cato Institute was founded by Charles Koch.

Democracy Institute is a misnomer; it's founded and run by hard right leaning Libertarians. Who want less government, less taxes, less social security, less government funded healthcare, and most importantly less government oversight in the stock markets.

F*ck these clowns! But especially F*CK Charles Koch!

I toured from London to Glasgow and back for three weeks with a Who tribute as Pete.

The newspapers... are very different over here.

Made the TO SunGirls seem like a feminist "article" by comparison.

And why does everyone over there want to see their own wives getting weird with other doods?

It was a very strange place and I was gloriously terrified the entire time.

It is a really stupid article. I've no doubt the poll was fabricated in the office rather than conducted out in public, but it's so meaningless that how they got those numbers really doesn't matter. It's just a way for the Democracy Institute (thanks Redh8t for the post about what a bunch of dicks they are) to get itself a skerrick of publicity.

There are no conclusions that can be drawn other than Americans don't know a great deal about other country's politics. And that's fair enough really, I couldn't tell you the first thing about Belgian politics so there's no reason for an American to know the first thing about Australian politics. Other countries know about American politics because it affects us more than most, I follow a bit of UK and less of NZ politics too, I know very little about most other nations politically.

The reason I think the poll is fabricated is there's no mention of respondees saying things like "has Denmark still got that hot chick?" or "that Icelandic babe would definitely get my vote" and I'm sure in any significant poll of Americans about this weird hypothetical question we'd be hearing some of that, a lot more than about Xi from China anyway.

Hypothetical question. To be POTUS you have to be a natural born citizen. Boris was, until he renounced. But if he applied to become a citizen again would he be "natural born"? He would still have been born in the country.

/Not going to happen of course. Any more than the Brits who wanted Obama to move here and become PM six years ago.

It doesn't have to be fabricated. They can just ask "Which foreign leader would you want to see in the White House?" without giving an "I would rather stick with Biden" option and you'd get these results.

Yes, however by US politics Boris is close to Sanders, AOC, and the squad.  For example, Boris is a strong supporter of the national health service (NHS), climate change mitigation, housing programs, and  pro-education spending.  All of these are the opposite of the GQP, and mainstream Dems are opposed to single payer health care and increased spending on education including student debt forgiveness and necessary reforms to the student loan industry.
Now for the obvious: Boris is clearly British, gave up his US citizenship in 2016, and will likely retire from public life once a new PM is elected.
My position is that the average US citizen would be much much better off under the UK government, change my mind.

Lol, no. Tories hate public services and I'll be surprised if the NHS isn't fully privatised by the end of this decade. Look up Jeremy coont's fights with junior doctors and how they refuse to keep healthcare workers wages in line with inflation.

Look up Robert Jenrick and Grenfell Tower for what they think of poor people regarding housing.

I don't specifically know what their policies on education are, but I'd be surprised if they didn't align with Betsy DeVos' ideas of shovelling money to private companies because they're corrupt neoliberal shiatheels. Here's what one of the leadership candidates thinks of university education, for example:
