Keep going and you can save the mid-terms.

2022-08-07 4:26:34 PM
The two aholes from my state are on that list for voting against it.

2022-08-07 4:26:34 PM
Shorter to list the things Republicans DO think Americans should have:
Suffering
Debt
To work until they die

2022-08-07 4:26:37 PM
Pummel the Republicans with this. They have explicitly voted against this and they should be put on the defensive for once.

2022-08-07 4:27:25 PM
You mean the fifth columnists who staged a violent coup and seek a return to the antebellum south if not the Salem era don't want good things for Americans?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh breath  hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhocking.

Yep. This is enormous political ammunition to fire at Republicans in November.

So much "REPUBLICANS VOTED AGAINST ...." to run.

Democrats won't do it.

I never had any doubt.
That is a lie

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll see some ads about how "they" brought relief to your state to help people with the problems caused by the do-nothing democrats.

Dems: "We should extend the CTC to help poor & working families."

Joe Manchin: "F*ck them."

Dems: "We should end a loophole the wealthy use to evade taxes."

Kyrsten Sinema: "F*ck YOU."

I'm actually impressed at this.

Even with republicans obstructionism and the Dixiecrats they managed to get it passed.

Seriously, are they being told not to? It seems weird that a party of such diverse policy ideas and personal dispositions somehow nearly all manage to come down on the "Let's be meek and not rock the boat" side of things so consistently. There are almost 300 Democrats in Congress, plus all of the others who are running in various federal races (in primaries, replacing retiring incumbents, etc.). How are they so consistently ... not great with this? Why don't we see as much diversity in their messaging as we see in their personalities and political positions?

So it's tax hikes on corporations and handouts to wealthy people who can afford home improvements and electric cars.

Progress is progress I guess. Slightly underwhelming but this is the best we get with 50 votes.

Well yeah, because we've essentially got a Republican party who are overt religious fascists, and a Democratic Party split between barely progressive people who are tired of corporate welfare and moderate conservatives who think "let's not change anything"

There are several examples in AZ alone that demo the planned wreckage for profit of private equity. I'd wager the thousands of ppl suffering low wages, high prices & poor service because of PE would be rather responsive to ads pointing out Sinema's loyalty to them rather than her constituents.

So...wait...they're citing sources saying it will have a minimal impact. So the experts agree that it will have an impact and reduce inflation. They do know it's called the Inflation Reduction Act and not the Inflation Elimination Act, right?

Glad you agree with the Democrats for once, RNC

Man, I just look at this and go "pbbbtbtbt... How did we get here? How do we even fix this?"

Like fark me, half of our Congress critters are rabid animals, and the other half can barely get things done on their own, and it's because-as far as I can tell-we barely live in an actual democracy, and it's like... This isn't even about partisan politics you fools. The planet's $&@&ing dying, Cloud, and we're hard pressed to do about it because even the good guys in this scenario are beholden to the dinosaur juice companies.

Regular folks do those home improvements, and any company wishing to sink Tesla would be building domestic EV factories.

A small win.

Yep, Australian here to point out we don't have this problem with our center-left (currently in Government at federal level, plus most states) party because it's (unlike the US Democrats) not a liberal party, it's a collectivist organisation called the Australian Labor Party.

SImply, there is no Manchin or Sinema. Voting against the party's platform or the decisions made in the party caucus is an expellable offense, usually that's a career-ending move.

The US's 2-party-system is essentially a question of do you want to vote for the centrists or the hard right. There is no centre-left option even though some US Dems are clearly left of centre, the strongly liberal (ie independent to vote how you want) aspect of the party is not an appealing feature to those who understand that collectivism is the solution to government exclusively by the wealthy - in solidarity there is strengh.
