Brian May has a Ph.D. in astrophysiics
Greg Graffin has a Ph.D. in zoology

Tom Sholtz had degrees in just about everything.   The coolest guy tho has to be Gary Numan the aerobatic pilot.

On the other hand, so-called "Dr" Demento is a FRAUD.
He only has a Master's in Ethnomusicology.

Coincidentally enough Milo has a PhD in biology and specialized in molecular biology. And Greg Graffin from Bad Religion has a PhD in zoology.

Lol, my curiosity is itching to find out if he knows/knew people I worked with.  I kind of doubt it on the one hand since I was in directed energy, and he seems to be more like an AEGIS guy.  But, I'm sure people from Lincoln Labs I've met might know him.

That said, I'm glad I got the fark out.  I couldn't stand it under W and Cheney; this guy apparently doesn't mind photos with TFG.

I was going to bring up Lee Atwater but while researching him I found this:

"...in 1989, Atwater strongly criticized the candidacy of David Duke for the Louisiana House of Representatives. He said: "David Duke is not a Republican as far as I am concerned...He is a pretender, a charlatan, and a political opportunist who is looking for any organization he can find to legitimate his views of racial and religious bigotry and intolerance...We repudiate him and his views and we are taking steps to see that he is disenfranchised from our party."
From here.

Everything he repudiated Duke for is the minimum requirement for entry into the Republican party.

I saw an interview a long time ago with this guy, on one of those 'History of Rock' type of shows, where he used the old "Rap is short for crap" line to put down rap music when it was mentioned. I was disappointed to hear him say that, since nothing could be more rock n roll than young people reinventing their music yet he was the old guy lamenting what the kids were listening to these days. Haha, rap had the last laugh. I'm glad he lived to see it.

Because sampling took work away from studio musicians AND the samples might very well of been their (uncredited, unpaid) work on top of that?  Gosh, it's hard to see why a studio cat wouldn't like rap. Must be racism.

I'm sure to someone of his reputation, TFG was just another sharpie-wielding fan looking for a photo and maybe an autograph.

Other than that, you used enough of the right words to get yourself farkied, since we probably know some of the same people.

lol, I don't really know many people on the east coast--only got to visit LL one time.  it's more like if I look in a mirror in the dark and say Rocketdyne with my eyes closed three times, these people might magically appear.  I was just a "sorcerers apprentice" to these wizards, but I left on good terms so I still get invited to bbqs and such.
