They're asking people that normally vote Democratic Party to vote for her in the open primary. While hoping those same Democratic voters will also vote for her in the general election so they can keep the seat filled with someone that will vote the party line.

It's Wyoming. I would chortle if somehow she wins her Primary and enough Trump true believers sat out the election so that a Democrat won the Wyoming Senate seat.

I don't think that would happen, but I can dream, can't I?

A substantial segment of the GOP despise TFG, but they're too afraid to say anything because the rabid dogs will pile on them.  Cheney is doing their dirty work in the sense that she's doing the job that needs doing which THEY don't want to touch

That said... the midterms will be the test.

It's a House of Representatives seat, not the Senate, but you've got the right idea.  Create confusion and doubt so that the MAGAs stay at home questioning whether or not Harriet Hengmengehukemier is a MINO (MAGA In Name Only).

She doesn't get bonus points just because she knows Trump tried to overthrow an election and believes he should be punished for it. That's not bravery. It's farking common sense.

We know that this newfound support  is only happening because:

* Trump only wants petty revenge
* GOP wants to maintain control
* Polls are shifting, show that the midterms are not the presumptive GOP they first thought
