Kinda surprised McDonalds was ever in favor of nepotism. They are big enough to do what is right for the business and not have to placate the F-U, GOT MINE contingent.

And if a "vote of no confidence" was an actual thing that franchisees could do, I'm sure that would mean a lot. But since it's not, I imagine the McDonald's response would mostly be "lol, nope, go fark yourself."

And frankly, they should. They should bring down the farking hammer, because McDonald's franchisees are mostly absolute scum, while corporate actually treats their store employees fairly well. And this is just a bunch of asshole fark you got mine dick holes trying to protect their monopolies.
