It turned out to be vomit.

Granted, TFG managed 4 years without working, anyway.

Ain't gonna happen. Palin used to pretend she wanted to run too, this is just that. Tucker does okay in front of his audience when he's never actually challenged on any sort of detail directly, he couldn't handle answering questions without them being pre-scripted. Trump had years of experience doing that in various media environments, Tucker's strength is in sticking to script.

Yes! Remember when we couldn't believe that someone so shallow and dumb could be elected president?
Now, he would be considered too intellectual by the GOP.

The problems with his presidency (which would have been seen as catastrophic today had 2016-2020 not gone down the way it had gone down) almost seem quaint these days.

Counterpoint: Narcissists are incapable of recognizing things that are beyond their capabilities and will rush headlong into them anyway, then flail and drag everyone else down with them as soon as they're in over their head while blaming everyone else.  After four years of Trump, "He won't do this because he must realize he won't be able to handle it" is NOT an assumption that should ever be made about a Republican.  Any argument that assumes a Republican is capable of self-reflection is already built on a faulty premise.

So in 2016, I got everything from weird looks to full blow temper tantrums when I suggested that TFG was running just to destroy the GOP over some ridiculously trivial slight.

This is, to me, an unsurprising consequence of "The National Security Apprentice".

There are a bunch of folks who owe me apologies.

It's already been demonstrated that the presidency isn't that stressful if you're disinterested in doing good work, or any work at all, really.

The Patriot act, Gulf War II: Patriot Boogaloo and ICE are the most evil and blatantly racist shiat to ever happen, until the current "Supreme" "court".

Just because Dump sped-run an 8 year term in 4 years doesn't make Bush Jr. quaint.

It's been a long time since politicians were actually expected to answer questions. That's not a barrier.

As someone who does not spend their mornings looking for dropped false teeth in their oatmeal , is actually aware of current issues that haunt Americans today, is not tied to a relative who is suspected of multi-national criminal dealings, Tucker is a fine choice.

While President Carlson (*vomit*) is an absolute nightmare thought, Tucker, has 20 years in media, answering questions live and off the cuff. He's human garbage, a nazi, and should be hung in the streets. But he is an accomplished speaker who could easily handle unscripted questions. He's been on live television for like 30 years. Tucker walked all over Ben Smith recently:

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/07/tucker-carlson-racist-replacement-theory
https://www.techdirt.com/2022/07/08/ben-smiths-new-media-venture-ably-demonstrates-why-platforming-authoritarian-propagandists-is-a-lose-lose-scenario/

We are talking about Semafor here. A media startup that raised 25 million dollars in a space that is dying based on the ideas coming from Ben Smith who Carlson walked all over in a recent interview.

Tucker Carlson is a concussed spaniel and a walking case for loosening up the standards for involuntary commitment.
As are people who think he is a credible news source.

But I am sure AltRight trolls and insurrection apologists will dispute this.

JJR: Howard Stern vs Tucker Carlson - you heard it here first.

Howard Stern might win over Tucker, but we as a nation would lose.

I think if Tucker decides to run for President, he will win. Only Big City Liberals would vote against him, if they put down their bong long enough to vote. All of the fly over states would vote for him. Why?

Because celebrity recognition is all that matters in America. Howard Stern might have a chance, but his victory would reveal how shallow we are.
