Motor City's Double pepperoni Detroit-style is the only frozen pizza I've encountered that doesn't need improvement.

My friend and I recently got addicted to Kroger brand white chicken pizza. It's... Really goddamn good

I wouldn't. At this point I'd take Papa John's over frozen, and Papa John's is the worst. I've eaten a LOT of frozen pizza in my life. It really does suck.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I'd like to have some pizza on hand for snack emergencies.

Eh. Frozen pizza is frozen pizza. It's all in the same range, more or less. I occasionally grab a Tombstone or DiGiorno and... well, they're fine. The price point is about right in terms of what you get which is why I've never bothered with any of the more expensive frozen pizzas. At the point I might as well just buy the ingredients and make my own if I'm gonna be spending more than like 7 bucks on a frozen one.

My neighbor found this in the dairy area where the biscuits are. Delivered pizza has become almost cost prohibitive and to us, this is just as good if not better than chain store pizzas. You can make it how you like it and enjoy it for less than $10.

My local grocery store has some pretty decent bake at home pizzas. They are on par with mass produced delivery crap at a much lower price point. When I have a hankering for junk pizza, it's my go to.

Am I the only one that finds DiGiorno to be a terrible salt bomb?

I'm partial to Palermo thin crust.

Some Farker once mentioned Outsiders Pizza, particularly a Detroit style barbecue pork and bacon abomination and I both love and hate him for that.

All things considered, it's probably a good thing that monstrosity isn't sold within 125 miles of me, otherwise I wouldn't be able to fit in my car anymore.

Rising crust pizzas are gross. The crust tastes like subway bread and it is too thick compared to the rest of the pizza.

Red Baron is also decent quality for the price. I remember when it used to suck... maybe 20 years ago or more, IIRC. It's the rare example of a brand improving quality to remain competitive.

If the best pizza dough you have ever had comes from a "just add water" kit, I don't think you've ever had good pizza.

it's THE BEST frozen option if you are craving that chicago "crispy with corn oil" tavern crust and "pizza pork sausage with fennel seed" flavor! simply the best.

it's hard to find where i live, though, it seems only "the Fresh Market" carries it in my part of FL.

boo on that part!

I had a sausage Home Run Inn pizza for dinner tonight (well, not the whole pizza).  When I first tried Home Run Inn I thought, "Why would I ever buy any other brand of frozen pizza?"  I have never had a frozen pizza that comes remotely close to the quality of Home Run Inn.  You can buy them at all grocery stores here.  I got mine at Aldi for $6.98.  Often Jewel has them on sale for two for $10.00 but I never want two.

totino's is the best frozen pizza, but you have to add more cheese. don't fool yourself that a $10 fancypants frozen pizza is going to be any better.

My dude, i have the wire mesh pan thing chain pizza joints use.....BUT i also have a pizza steel that lives forever in the bottom of my (sadly electric) oven.

I only do crispy-on-the-bottom crusts.

We know what's up with that!

Tah dah? I believe they are called "pizza screens"? From a restaurant/food service supply store:

-what "cheap chain pizza- places use on their conveyor belt cooking oven.

I barely use it though, most things get slapped right on the pizza steel. Homemade dough gets baking parchment in between the two

Aha! I see the "wire mesh pan thing" now. Ha! My wife, who had a propensity for buying what I thought were unnecessary things, brought this thing home one day. I poo-poohed it until I tried it. For cheapie frozen pizzas, it's awesome, particularly in the summer when you don't want to heat up the whole house. Pizza is suspended on a rack between top and bottom burners. I'd show a better pic, but the rack would need a little touch-up before photographing.

The pizza screen isn't just for conveyor belt ovens, they're used in the old school ovens as well - I worked in a couple of pizza joints back in the day.  The screen makes it easier to get it in and out of the oven.  I worked one place that used a layer of corn meal between the pizza and the oven, but that was a pain in the ass.  You'd have burnt corn meal dust in the oven and the pizzas weren't consistent in size or roundness.

Hmmm... gonna have to give thema try, especially now that the prices of my usual cheapie "frozen pizzas of shame" have been creeping up to the low end of Home Run Inn's offerings.

/ Never been able to eat any of DiGiorno's pies comfortably- there's something in them that makes them go straight through me.

Jesus; just get a bag of dough from Trader Joe's, some pepperoni and mushrooms, some marinara sauce and some mozzrella, and make a loaf of garbage bread. There are a few other ingredients you'll want--olive oil, parmesan/romano, salt and pepper and oregano--but if you have an oven of some sort, you will be good to go.
