Ah, timeline episode.

Good so far. Comedy is alright. The biker bar is a little cliché, but I suppose it looks better than outright theft. Figured the phone thing would happen, but I guessed it was a redherring like the letters from last episode.

That was the best episode of this show to date, among all three seasons.  And that's coming after the last episode, which up until this one was the best episode of this show among all three seasons to date.

Perfect mix of drama and comedy, several subplots and character developments.  Now THAT'S an episode of the Orville.

I'm dying to see what, if anything, they do with Talla and LaMarr.  How will things go with Issac and Charly, who we just now learned is a lesbian.  Just a fantastic episode all around.

Suppose there was no point having a drama ending considering there was nothing to top it the last scene. Just a happy handwave away of any admiral being upset.

About a month ago, today's is the 6th episode of season 3.

And, in my opinion, every episode so far this season has absolutely killed it. Some of the best written, most thoughtful scifi TV episodes I've ever seen on TV period. They dialed back the humor like 50%, some folks were waiting for that and others say they'd prefer the lighter tone to come back. I think they got the balance just right for me.

Loved how Malloy was ready to throw down to stay with his family. I'm of the mind that he would have been absolutely justified in mowing down the three of them right then and there.

That's a terrible idea and I hope the fact that the time machine was destroyed seals the deal. Time travel episodes can be awesome - and this one was. But season-long story arcs involving time travel are almost impossible to pull off.

It was a really good episode, but the biker bar scene...no way it would be that easy.  I assume there are a bunch of unconscious, broken bikers scattered around that bar.

I'm watching the new season now actually. Everytime I started watching it since season 1 it was 'fark it, this is going to suck' but goddamn if it dosen't suck me in. So far same thing. Will keep going.

The actress and her character annoys the shiat out of me. Yet to see any actual character growth beyond eye candy.

This episode was harsh. As good as the other time travel episodes.

Yah. This. That was the most campy/cheesy scene I've seen so far. Killed the episode for me.

/also didn't care for ep5 either.

Actually, I think there are at least two forks. They picked up Malloy one month into his exile, but the message they received was sent 6 months in.

This incident is definitely coming back, and will probably be a turning point in the Kaylon War.

When he'shiat by the device you see about six or seven versions of him before he disappears. That wasn't a throwaway.

Lots to nitpick in this episode, but Mallory's reaction at his family being erased was gut wrenching. Those few minutes alone made the episode spectacular.

Scott Grimes really nailed it there. Those last few minutes were gut wrenching.
