TIME FOR BORIS TO GO BACK COMB!

2022-07-06 3:58:37 PM
If your system is based on people resigning rather than being forced out then eventually you'll run into a problem when someone simply says no.

2022-07-06 3:59:25 PM
Who didn't see this coming?

I think Boris Johnson is legit mentally ill.

So after the rule change another no confidence vote in the next week. Bet BoJo would survive that one.

FTA   "Isn't it the first recorded case of the sinking ship fleeing the rat?" he asked.

I don't mean to giggle while my silly English cousins are in the midst of turmoil, but I did giggle at that

I think they can legally just murder Boris if he refuses to step down.
I mean this is Britain. They're polite until they're not.

From some random opposition MP: "Isn't it the first recorded case of the sinking ship fleeing the rat?"

I admit, I chuckled.

He's going to force the rules committee to change their vote of no confidence rules, huh?

Is narcissism a disorder? He's just a greedy bugger who lacks impulse control & the desire to wear a condom (but I repeat myself).

Not so sure that's the right bet. It would be tight though, either way.

They don't have a second amendment solution over there?

2022-07-06 4:02:32 PM
As I understand it the No Confidence Vote called and held by the Tory Party a few weeks ago can only be held once every 12 months, unless they vote to change the rules (not unlike our congress where they could conveniently change rules to vote on stuff *cough filibuster cough*).

According to Sky News the Tories are prepared to vote on rule changes to allow another No Confidence Vote.

"My government is strong and stable", lied Boris Johnson.

2022-07-06 4:02:44 PM
Trump somewhere: "I could have just not left too, after everyone else did?"

It isn't that he's magically immune to something, he just doesn't give a shiat that he sucks at the job and doesn't want to leave.

2022-07-06 4:02:48 PM
Why is everyone resigning and asking him to resign? All the news articles I can find are just about recent developments. I mean I assume it's because he's a right-wing tool, but specifically?

I was promised the Queen dragging him out by his ear on television in the previous thread.

The Queen can call out the Prime Minister and behead him herself, if it comes down to it.

/Totally true fact I definitely read in very real book somewhere.

I'm not up on my British politics, but didn't they give the last lady the boot, too?

The fact that all of this is happening after they didn't vote him out almost seems... I dunno, planned?

Not so much the gropey guy.

He got caught (again) lying about what he knew and when.  This time, it was about a sex pest.  The real surprise is that this time the sex pest wasn't himself.

It is as if every asshole leader of every democracy/republic/etc... suddenly figured out they can be raging assholes and no one will do anything. Trump, Netanayu, crazy haired Brit. I mean Ben is literally still the leader of the opposition party and Trump is still the defacto leader of the Trumplicans.

We have always been stubborn, but this we are taking human stubborness to new lengths.

"He is MY man!!! Wooo"

But he stole millions.

"He is MYYYY man!!"

But he tried to overthrow a democracy and refused to cede power

"He is MYYYYYYY man!!!!!"

But he raped a 2 year old on live TV

"Did I stutter motherfarker when I said he is MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY man!!!!"

2022-07-06 4:06:15 PM
"But the prime minister rejected suggestions he should seek a "dignified exit""

That ship has sailed.

Because when all your ministers resign, you have no one to do the work of governing. The Tories have already had to cancel at least one important legislative agenda meeting because not enough government ministers are attending.

Have read the 1922 committee is going to vote to change the rule tonight.

I have not been in the Strangers bar for some time I wonder what if has changed much or serves borscht now.

He has a Cuomo-type butt grabber that he put in a role, and then when butt grabbing allegations were made, Boris told everyone he didn't know about any prior butt grabbing and then they found out Boris knew in advance about it.

So, directly lying, I guess, about his prior knowledge of someone else's pattern of sexual harassment.

But like you that's what I know from Fark, can't find anything on the origins, just the developments. Very British

Why would he resign?  Motherfarker has no shame.  It's like asking Mitch McConnel not to kick a puppy.

I probably know as much about UK law as you do. I'd guess she can definitely do that, but she has to go to jail afterwards.

Now is that a reason why they want him gone, or is that a "Welp he's farked, let's add shiat to the pile now" allegation?

So does this mean that the British versions of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers will storm Parliament?

I feel like I need a Rosetta Stone.  This news is all in English, but none of it makes much sense.

Hard to imagine a conservative refusing to let go even in the face of things like this. They usually seem like such moderate and humble people.

The straw that broke the camel's back was lying about whether he knew about the sexual assault allegations against one of his government before he was appointed. But this has been coming for a while.

The plus side is that by being a stubborn ass, BoJo probably takes the Conservative government down with him. I sense a snap election in the near future if he doesn't go gently into the good night.
