one of the local dives serves deep fried deviled eggs. not nearly as interesting as it sounds, but not half-bad either.

some S.Asian places will griddle eggs a bit before incorporating - but even if not, it's still going to be warm and delicious ...unlike CLARE's much-detested "cold, slick hard boiled egg" ::eyeroll::

mmm, tikka masala -

So burnt and probably completely dried out is the preferable texture to a normal hard boiled egg? Who knew?

...what exactly do you think the masala gravy is made out of?

A portion that size will have roughly 400-600 calories from cream, ghee, and cashews, but...that's it aside from the meat/eggs/paneer/etc. in there.

The best way to prepare eggs is the most simple and most delicious, every other method is wrong and you should feel bad for abusing an egg in any other way. The only way you should ever make an egg is: Egg. Fry. Rice.

Flincher: Not "Claire" but delicious anyway....hatch green chile, chorizo, ground beef, sharp cheddar, and egg casserole [Fark user image image 425x566]

That may have been tasty, but it hurts my soul looking at it.

At least have the decency to give it a crust on the bottom. Chopped chorizo and panko with butter or even crushed Ritz crackers laden with your sausage fat, with some Chipotle or even just plain chili powder or crushed red pepper. Inside make it a proper quiche, smooth, with your Hatch chiles and more chorizo, and bake. And if you're firmly wedded to the sunny-side or over easy eggs to drip into toast, do them separately, and lay them on top, and then you can drizzle jarred Hatch chiles, with maybe some scallion and chopped Thai chiles, maybe with some lime and cilantro.

The crust with give varying texture and flavor, while the whipped egg with cream, cheese and other ingredients will get some depth, and the garnish will complement the rest, and give you some pop with color and flavor.

honestly i love the idea.  I detest hard boiled eggs mainly because of the coldness.  but a quick heat up like she's showing there, plus a pretty nice presentation in that picture makes it pretty appealing, at least to the eye.  im going to give it a shot.

Fried hard boiled eggs are the feature of a few tasty Indian dishes.
Braciole is a great use for hard boiled eggs.
One of the weirder recipes I have set aside to make at some point is an old german recipe, from a region that literally used sweet and sour sauce on every known protein. Called Sauer Eider, boiled eggs simmered in a sweet/sour sauce and served over boiled potatoes

Fair enough... just remember to do it sustainable not psycho, lest you burn out (or hurt yourself) and wind up with more flab than before.
