He's not 'enbattled', he's in contempt of court.

Throw him and jail while you sort out what is needed.  He can't delete stuff from behind bars.

Trump didn't win Wisconsin or Michigan in 2020.

So the precedent is people can delete evidence and it is acceptable for the first 2 years of an investigation?

Stop deleting?  If he's been deleting official records, he should be in prison.  So many people should be in prison.

Really sounds more like a suggestion if they don't, YOU KNOW, do anything about the record deleting.

2022-07-06 8:40:53 PM
Try not to delete any records on your way to the parking lot!

/suck all the dicks you want tho

He's defying the third judge because the first two did jack shiat about it.  His example is Trump.  Started out with emoluments violations the very first day in office.  Moved on to bigger and bigger crimes, daring anyone to do anything about it.  Nobody did.  Tried to overthrow the government.  Still nothing.

A law that isn't enforced is no longer a law, it's just meaningless words.

How is ANYTHING related to federal elections not backed up to multiple servers, usb drives, and optical discs?  With huge amounts of error correction and detection bits and hashes?  And in the hands of dems, republicans, liberals, progrssives, that guy that says the rent is too damn high, vermin supreme, antifa cells, the NRA, NASA, every nato country, every non nato country, and in a tungsten archive soft landed into a perma shadow crater on the moon and pluto?

Make the deletion irrelevant.  No matter who does it.  To fortify Our Democracy.

The group's attorneys cited Gableman's testimony that revealed he deletes emails from his government-issued email account and directed a staff member to delete an entire account months ago, rendering those emails inaccessible.

And we all know that once something is deleted, that's it. It's gone. Never going to recover anything from that. No backups

/Now if he directed a staff member to delete an account, degauss the hard drives on that server and destroy any backups, shoot them with a nail gun after that, then throw everything overboard 50 miles out to sea, that would be pretty surefire

If only there was a simple way to throw the fark in to some sort of detention that kept him from doing things as investigators rifle through his life with a fine tooth comb...

You know, like poor and minority people.

DOJ : "Don't do that!"
White Republican: "Oh yeah, what are you gonna do if I do?"
DOJ : "Absolutely nothing"
*proceeds to do the thing*
"Damn, we never thought they would just do the thing, what now? If only there were something we could do. Like, if we had an overbloated budget and threats of violence with a small army at our disposal to force compliance to written rules that we could strongly enforce with those tools and resources. But, alas, our hands are tied."

This.
Say it once, it is a warning
Say it twice, and not a again
You continue doing it... 3rd strike, you are out... of public for a while.

In last week's hearing, testimony revealed taxpayers paid Gableman $22,000 for virtually no work during the first two months of his review that has lasted nearly a year and now cost more than $1 million overall.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos hired Gableman to conduct the review under pressure from former President Donald Trump

He's obviously a MAGA grifter so deal with him appropriately. Get rid of this Vos asshole too, they are not qualified for their position.

You know, if we actually enforced laws in this country we would t have crap like this. We're so soft on these crooks.

2022-07-06 9:11:11 PM
As long as the penalty for destroying evidence is less severe than the penalty for the crime being covered up, people will continue to destroy evidence. Only when we make penalties for (knowingly) destroying evidence extremely severe will this stop.

And it won't stop, because we are extremely loath to issue severe penalties for white-collar and adjacent crimes.

Lock him up?

It was illegal, and yes, he knew it was illegal. (not that stupid beats law)

Isn't there a thing about anything you destroy in response to an investigation can be assumed to be as bad as the persecution wants?

Two of the judges at least were in Dane County so Republicans believe that they don't have to do anything those Madistani Libruls tell them. Meanwhile this guy wanted to "lock up" the mayors of Madison and Green Bay because they wouldn't be questioned by him behind closed doors.  They would however agree to be questioned in a public hearing.

Gableman is like independent counsel Ken Starr without reason or accountability plus even more griftability and undeserved arrogance.

Here's hoping even the WI GOP will finally recognize his uselessness to the party and cut him loose.

Not to be an eeyore, but this is really farking depressing and unurprising and of course there are no consequences and there never will be because justice is dead and we are all in hell

So un-freaking-believable he was on the high court. And he's not even the one who tried to choke a fellow Court Justice.

I'm sure there's no connection, but just today Gableman's conservative colleagues on the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned some prior decisions, and made it much, much harder to get sanctions for an open records violation.

On a positive note they said a girl who killed the guy who was sexually trafficking her as a minor could introduce that defense on appeal.  However the vote was 4-3.

On the one hand, contempt of court if he deletes; but treason and sedition if he doesn't delete the evidence.

Asking people not to delete evidence that incriminates them doesn't work. Who knew?

Let us not forget  how disgusting it is that this loon Gableman was a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. And he was appointed by a freaking moderate Republican compared to the sociopaths we have in charge here now.

Maybe they could try actually tossing him in jail for contempt. Deleting shiat is a lot harder from jail.
