At this point, it shouldn't be about impeachment. It should be about arrest.

Pocket Ninja: At this point, it shouldn't be about impeachment. It should be about arrest.

Not possible, but i definitely agree with the principle.

Impeachment would just get us exactly what happened with Trump... all the evidence shows guilt and the Senate says "hahahaha No."

We just make a mockery of our system every single time.

I would very much like to see some hacker steal all his money though. That would make me happy.

Clarence Thomas hasn't farked with wealthy people's money so he and his wife can do anything they want. They're in the protected class, the corrupt will always protect the corrupt so the Thomases are completely immune from accountability.

So just put that image here.

It sends a message, sure - the libs are telling Clarence Thomas they don't like him.

Just like they've done since 1990.

Yawn. Gear up the poutrage machine. You guys sound just like the GOPers after Obergefell.

Hint: maybe we do something about it for once instead of impotently whining about how badly our side plays the game?

Like, you know, stacking the god damned court. Today. Hell, kick Manchin in the groin until he complies. We have options. Maybe we start using them?

I mean... if they want to go for it I'm not going to complain. If all we can do is inconvenience and embarrass him and his wife, let's do it.

Some day some higher echelon Senate member is going to just outright kill someone in broad daylight, not through a proxy, just like, pull out their glock and end someone unjustified, and then when they're not arrested the last remnants of Elmer's glue that holds the pretend mask of "justice system" over lady liberties face will fall away and America will be exposed for the system it was underneath the whole time.

If ALL this does is get Democratic Leadership to have a 5 minute conversation about this, that's still something and everyone laughing about this hates democracy.  Writing letters, starting petitions, taking over public spaces and talking about things with your like minded peers, etc are just as much if not MORE a part of the process as the highly exalted "voting".  In fact, your impact in casting a vote is mathematically limited.  You can only make a *very small* impact by voting.  It's important, but it is -by no means- the most impactful use of your political time.

Also I'm not convinced the people that you *know* I am talking about even vote in the first place, given their reaction to political activity like this.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Alito('s wife) wasn't involved in January 6th. Um, that we know of, I guess.

Also, shiatty as Alito is, even he wouldn't sign on to Thomas' "maybe adults don't have the right to fark as they please, marry as they please, or use birth control".

// the cool thing about impeaching Federal officers is that as long as everyone agrees you gotta go, you don't really have to have committed a crime
// John Pickering was removed for "having made unlawful rulings and being of bad moral character due to intoxication while on the bench" (sez wiki)
// how can a ruling be "unlawful" if SCOTUS decides what the law is? let's ask the Justices (including Thomas) who ignore parts of the factual record to come to the rulings they want *ahem*Bremerton*cough*

If they don't know that people are sustainably upset by something, how will our elected officials know how to prioritize stuff?  Unless the presumption is already that our elected officials don't represent the interests of their voting constituency, but if that's the presumption that I better not hear more talk about how important voting is.

Personally, I think voting is important *because* I operate on the presumption that my elected officials feel at least some pressure to act in a manner proscribed by their constituency.  That they can be "bought and paid for", but knowing that the voters make such-and-so a priority when casting their vote ought to give them pause.  Even if it just mitigates the damage, it's better than silently standing by while corporations outright purchase democracy from underneath us.

The only real part of the process is the multi-million-dollar donation to a SuperPAC run by the politician's family member. Anything else gets ignored by our political class.

Well I can't hardly believe that. Probably just picking on him because liberals are the REAL racists.

2022-07-06 9:50:36 AM
I absolutely think this sends a message.  Because it is showing just one more example of how much this country is fed up with this court.  There are 4 justices on the hot seat right now.  All of them are among the conservative asswipes that pushed for all of these changes that are literally stripping away civil rights.

This from the same group of people that insists that murder weapons are a right that can't be taken away.

The legitimacy of this court is in question right now.  And we need to keep pushing stuff like this until someone, somewhere, somehow takes action.

Fark this court.  The sooner it is burned to the ground, the better off this country will be.

Voting rights
Gun control
Climate change
RvW
Stack the court
prosecuting the fark out of Klan Trump
