(The Verge)   Cloud OS purveyors tout cloud gaming, say you can now play your favorite AAA games on any device, including your phone. Never mind that in the real world no one can play AAA games on a phone, just say it with me: CLOUD GAMING   (theverge.com) divider line

I don't want to play a AAA game on my phone. The screen is tiny, and controls are at best going to be "OK" if I'm lucky.

But I do like gamestreaming... just from my PC to other devices. Fark your cloud service.

So her primary complaints are:

1. Crappy controls on a phone if she doesn't pack a ...
2. Clunky controller accessory;
3. Battery drain on her phone and the risk of losing the use of her phone until it's charged.

As directly opposed to:

1. Packing a much bigger, much clunkier Steam Deck ALONG WITH her phone
2. She still needs to have her phone operating as a hotspot if there's no 'free' or otherwise fast wifi to connect to
3. She doesn't even remark on playing local games on the Deck, she's still referring to playing cloud games with all of their downsides.

Her only even vaguely valid concern is losing her phone's battery charge after some gaming on the go, and in virtually any airport or similar situation you could plug in somewhere. Hell, an Anker powerpack would solve the problem too. A Razer Kishi and an Anker powerpack together would likely be cheaper (and less clunky to carry) than a steam deck and provide a perfectly cromulent cloud gaming experience with virtually any phone.

So basically a long ad for the steam deck?
