Started Westworld over from the beginning a few nights ago and it kicks Deep Space Nine in the toosh over and over again without even meaning to do so.

And this reviewing of Westworld makes Game of Thrones look even more absurd.

I can see you having that opinion only if you watched the first season of each.  Keep going.

My Mom asked me what movie scared me the most. I instantly said "Alien!".

She gives me that Mom look* and says "because she's basically naked the entire time, right?" I never, ever thought of it like that on account of being so scared of the giant acid spitting rape lobster.

ds9 is crap
And Ender's Game is the worst SF book in the history of SF books.

That doesn't sound anything like Orville. The new season has been EPIC.

Was underway a lot during DS9 original run and it never clicked.
So over quarantine the SO & I binged it. Truly do not get the appeal. Has a few standout characters. But none of the episodes have the weight or gravitas of many of TNG episodes. The whole experience for me was "interesting idea ruined by crap plots"

How is Sheridan a former terrorist?

Sinclair got engaged on the last episode which he was on the regular cast. His intended would have had a similar as Anna Sheridan has not O'Hare's illness forced his replacement at the end of season 1.

Think of how the Minbari viewed him at the start of season two because of his actions in the war.

Wasn't it about space Jesus slowly learning how to live with 'protecting' the masses with deceipt, culminating in accepting his position in a pantheon of aliens pretending to be gods who've actively held an entire planet back for thousands of years?

DS9 would have been better than it already was if Morn had just shut his trap once in a while. Seriously he doesn't always need to be talking!

TheMysteriousStranger: How is Sheridan a former terrorist?

If anyone would be described as a former terrorist, it would be G'Kar.  In the initial Centauri occupation (before the start of the series), his actions to drive them off would have been considered terrorism from the perspective of the Centauri.

Anyway, DS9 suffered from the 25 episode/7 season format.  My wife and I finished rewatching it a year or so before the pandemic began, and by the end of the show we kept watching it just to finish it.  So many filler episodes, especially the lounge singer holosuite episodes.  And the Ferengi?  They went from dangerous on TNG to laughable on DS9.  Trim the show down to 4 seasons and I'd agree that it's the best Trek show ever.  Having rewatched it, though, I don't need to do it again.

There were many "coincidental" similarities between the two shows.

Personally, I never found the Ferengi dangerous, I thought they were laughable right from their first appearance on TNG.  Seriously, these guys are supposed to be a threat?  They're like if you gave the apes from the opening of "2001: A Space Odyssey" the ability to speak and made them dumber.
