Fun fact: The first USFL championship was in Denver in 1983 and 14-year-old me saw Michigan vs Philadelphia in person.

/Yes, it's a fun fact.

Probably will have more unique posters than an NBA thread, since this isn't likely to be the same three people talking to each other.

The Stars backed into the championship. They are 6-4. They beat a team with one loss last week. I'm nervous about that because I watched Giants teams that backed into the playoffs somehow beat the Patriots two different times.

Again, I'm enjoying the game. That block by Smith was bigger than just about any block you'll see out of a QB at any level.

The cool thing is that Jmarr Smith was supposed to be the backup QB. The original starter kept getting the team behind in the game so coach Holtz would bring in Jmarr who would come from behind to win starting in week one. The team rarely lead at halftime and Coach Holtz repeatedly tried to bench Smith throughout the year but he just keeps winning.

They probably could have had a decent crowd in Birmingham, I get the tie in with the HOF, but moving the playoffs to Canton doesn't make sense to me.

I don't remember seeing a crowd of this proportion in Birmingham. I'm wonder if Ohio pulls in a higher tv audience than Alabama.

Last week barely anyone was there.... But based on what I'm seeing today there's a LOT of people there.

Not a sellout but maybe 75% full or more.

I believe there was a scheduling conflict with Birmingham, so they decided to do the postseason in Canton instead.

Hey, football is football.  This is a million times better than when we were stuck watching Madden during the pandemic.

And this league survived the whole season, which is a feat in itself.

This is good competition. These guys are striking for NFL or even CFL jobs but right now they're trying to win their championship game and it's fun to watch.

It was actually worse during the first couple games. They would go to the drones as they were spinning around constantly and it would make you dizzy.

Those ketchup and mustard unis are hideous. It isn't even a spicy brown mustard color, it is that spectacularly bland French's crap hue.

I am pulling for Birmingham but I don't understand how you go helmet to helmet with a QB sliding feet first like that and don't get thrown out of the game.

Not as big of a block as I remember it being but I'll have to track down the block you're talking about. I love when a QB looks to hurt people.

It wasn't that kind of block. JMarr got in front of one defender and then pushed that defender back into another one ,leaving the field wide open for the running back. It was very well done.

Weird that the team that had all home games is in the championship. No, really, it is weird, because all tye teams played there, but somehow B-ham was the dominant force.

Like I said, they won but they were never dominant. They were losing just about every game.
