I've had multiple MRIs, CT and PET scans on my brain over the last 4 months so I'm getting a kick out of this.

The MAGA's are truly doing a speedrun towards idiocracy.

Yay.

If Covid gives conservatives brain damage, how could you tell?

Oh sure. Now you come up with an excuse for Trump's "thought processes. "

Maybe the causation is reversed and the people with cognitive impairment are more likely to get a serious COVID infection because they aren't getting vaccinated and aren't taking precautions.

This is a true case of por que no los dos.

The damage the monstrosity does to the brain has been verified by paired tests (i.e. people with brains scans taken before and after infection).

Brain, heart, lung, pancreas, penis, you-name-it damaging disease running wild in every single county in America and the world... except China. Nobody anywhere is even pretending to take precautions. The only place that comes anywhere even remotely close that I've seen is our CS dept... people actually wearing (medical-grade) masks around others, isolating after exposure, etc. Everywhere else it's a plague-for-all.

With repeated waves of infection, we're running up a future health bill that's almost beyond imagination.

67% of Florida is fully vaccinated. 79% is partially vaccinated. This blows away the entire Midwest.

Stop being bigoted snobs. Just because you hate DeSantis, remember he was right every step of the way. Facts baby. Facts. (Not Facebook lies).

He's going to be President because of people like this.

Just to keep things in perspective, there are numerous infections that affect brain health.

Does the Flu Affect Your Mind? Bad Memory and Brain Changes Could Result After the Viral Infection

Flu may impact brain health
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/02/180226131447.htm

I was even reading a while back that the flu may be linked to dementia. It isn't that you get the flu and then you get dementia. It's more like, each flu infection you get kills some brain neurons, and it adds up over time.

See also: flu vaccines give you a 40% less chance of getting dementia...and it protects against severe COVID-19.

We don't know the facts, because death sentence shut down cases and numbers reporting. Remember that?

Thousands of tourists come to Podunk, Illinois every day? The state is being racked by outbreaks? Well OK maybe East St. Louis because of proximity to MO.

You can't compare Florida to any other state. None are similar

If the facts were so good, and he was so right, why did he shut down and manipulate reporting data?

Because that's how you create favorable "facts" when reality shows you to be an incompetent, destructive moron.

As soon as we knew it was causing microclots throughout the body, progressive organ damage in anything that can't repair itself should have been obvious.  Brain, lungs, heart... anything but the liver, really.  So many idiots are apparently fine with eternal waves of COVID, getting slightly dumber with every infection.

But masks are just too much to ask for.  Not gathering by the thousands is too much to ask for.  And for far, far too much of the population, a biannual needle is too much to ask for.  We're all going to have an ongoing risk of progressive loss of breath and brains above and beyond that of normal ageing rather than sit the morons down in a corner and tell them to get with the farking program.  Because we've decided their ignorance is as valid as our knowledge.

Nocrash: You can't compare Florida to any other state. None are similar

I have some clients in Florida.  It's like another world.  I tried to express my sympathies for an employee who got COVID really, really badly and ended up with an organ transplant.  A carefully apolitical expression of sympathy.

The reaction was not normal.  It wasn't like "yes this horrible sad thing happened and it was called COVID".  It was complete denial that there was a larger problem, more like, "Joe got sick and needed new lungs".

Someone they all knew suffered incredibly and they still were not interested in doing anything about it.  No mask policy, no vaccination requirement to work at the office, nothing.  Get sick and die or don't, nobody cares.

Sounds like they're all sociopaths. Empathy, what's that?

Yeah, it definitely takes me longer to remember stuff, and I can't always remember a random word here or there. I also got Covid before it was cool (before there was a shot) so that may have played a part.

We'll see what the future holds. I'll keep masking, getting shots, and washing my hands.
