They completely missed "Grill your pineapple slices, and don't bother cutting out the core, because that gets edible after grilling" option.  Which is unfathomable, considering they had so many other options!

/They do get points for showing jalapenos, because "Sweet, Heat, and Meat" is quite the pizza treat!

Let's call a truce. Put the pineapple in the dough. This way its not ON the pizza.
Problem solved.

Hating on pineapple on pizza is one of the dumbest internet trends.  I'm OK with hating on anchovies on pizza, because anchovies are an acquired taste and I can feel superior to all the rubes who haven't acquired it, but pineapples?  What's wrong with people?

Also, why, oh why do people dislike raisins?  Not on pizza, I mean.  You gotta draw the line somewhere.  But just in general.  Like, in ice cream, or in cookies, or just by themselves, on cheese, in korma, in pudding, in rice with broccoli (a legit Brazilian dish, by the way, called Greek rice), in tzimmes, etc.  Raisins are fantastic.  Why do people not like them?  Makes no sense.

Well, in cookies it's because they're trick chocolate chips. I love raisins when I expect them, but when I'm expecting chocolate and get fruit it makes me sad.

Roasted pineapple?  That sounds delicious, I'll be giving it a shot.

As far as pineapple on the grill, have you tried grilling watermelon?   Wonderful stuff, grilled watermelon.

Well, I'll chime in with saying that pineapple is a complete abomination.  It should never have been introduced to the US, let alone pizza.

I don't ever have, or even think about eating pineapple unless it's on a pizza. The "sweet, heat, meat" comment is spot on.

/actually, I do like pineapple chunks with cottage cheese
//with salt/pepper/hot paprika

I love pineapple and canadian bacon on pizza! Add onions, crumbled crispy bacon, and or jalapeños too, if desired.

Sweet and salty is a GOOD combo.

I have a suspicion people who are against this are having a NYC-style gut level response (slices are cheese or cheese and pepperoni, ONLY) without even having TRIED a well made one.....

But the "pineapple ham" sounds wasteful (look how they "peeled" it!) and needless.

As said up thread, just grill your fresh pineapple slices. If you have no grill access, broil or air fry them. Peel them when raw.

Pineapple is absolutely FINE on pizza.

If Italians think Hawaiian pizza is bad, wait until they try spaghetti in the Philippines.

Pineapple, chicken, bacon, black olives for me. And a little bit of barbeque sauce instead of tomato sauce.

SHUT YOUR PINEAPPLE EATING FACE, YOU PINEAPPLE EATER! HAPPY NOW?

I consider myself neutral on pineapple pizza now. I used to think of it as abomination, but I was visiting the parental units and they had ham and pineapple so I tried a slice. It wasn't bad. Not something I'd pursue regularly, but definitely worth a try if you're peckish for something different. Adding jalapenos sounds good too.

NobleHam: Well, in cookies it's because they're trick chocolate chips. I love raisins when I expect them, but when I'm expecting chocolate and get fruit it makes me sad.

Raisins are only appropriate in oatmeal cookies, and the cookies have to remain soft.

I'm pretty lazy and often use canned rings for pizza.  With that said, I do drain them well and dry them on some paper towels awhile before I plan to use them.  I brush on a little olive oil just before I add them to the pizza and they turn out nicely after the bake.

I do tidbits.  Perfect size (no chopping necessary) and you can kinda squeeze 'em out.

Wow, that sounds awful. I zoomed in on the instructions. You mix evaporated milk with parm and some onion salt. That goes straight on the dough. Then you add catsup or chili sauce (which in this context who knows what that means), and your tuna, plus some oregano. Fish, ketchup, something approaching alfredo, combined.

Italians believe that any food ever made in Italy is theirs alone forever and can't be any good if the recipe isn't slavishly copied down to the last detail forever. That is why Chinese, Indian, and French cuisines are great and robust and Italian is an"also ran". Good but provincial and doomed never to be all that it could be.

I've said this before: pineapple is the Nickelback of pizza toppings- trendy to hate upon, but sales numbers don't lie... People LOVE that sh*t.

Jalapeno in general, or just the pickled stuff? World of difference between the jarred stuff and fresh, if you're good with the heat.

I find Poblanos to have a great flavour and not so much heat. Hatch and Anaheim are also my go to peppers when I want a bit of zing ( but not too much ) and serious flavour of the pepper. Especially when cooking for more than just me. I can always make it hotter , but can't make it less so. At any rate , I use tongs and hand toast them over gas until they start to blister.

Another pepper , the Serrano is also tasty but it does have more heat , or so I have found over the years. I use one or 2 when I'm making salsa for myself.

He's got a lot of accurate info.  Don't use canned.  DRAIN it.  Cur in smaller.  Pre cook it is also a good idea.  Hot peppers and pineapple is smart.  Pickling is OK.  I've tried it.

He misses advising cooking it slightly hotter, although pre cooked should reduce that need.  It's too get rid of the excess liquid and any sog to the crust.  Also, pair with salty meats.

But pineapple pizza haters won't listen.  They'll dismiss all of this.
