I have a beef with subby's headline. You're implying that the bowler is a pederast, and there's no proof of that.

Not all bowlers are pederasts, dude.

Do you think he'd even think about breaking the proud tradition from Moses to Sandy Koufax?

Wow. 900 series is incredible. As they mention in the article, only 39 ever, and if you think about the number of people playing across the country since the sport was invented to see the scale of the achievement.

The 39 are those that are sanctioned (recognized by the USBC). There have been more that aren't official for various reasons. Still it's a ridiculous accomplishment.

Yeah, and I know a bunch of people with a huge amount of 300 games, but no 900's. My best is 272, and I haven't come within 20 points of that since.

253 here. I bowl in a fun league, but there are a couple of guys there who make it look so effortless. I hate them (not really, but yeah)

Yeah I also bowl in a fun league, the summer league at my alley gives you a card that allows you 3 free games every day, so it's worth it just for that. My handicap is around a 20 when I'm top of my game, 40's otherwise. My real average is around 175.

I know one guy at our alley has over 100 300 games, he stopped counting he's had so many.

I worked at a bowling alley so would come in early and bowl a game. I remember when I broke 200 I was stoked. I only did that once again. It's not as easy as it appears.

/ The oil line was important.

Say what you will about subbys headline, at least it's an ethos

I'm actually really excited because my local is upgrading their oil machines over the next two weeks, and they will display the pattern at the lane as well now!

This was the alley that I bowled at when I was younger. I don't know the bowler, but have friend who do. I think I averaged around 180 and my top game was around 260 in the last league I bowled in, but that was years ago.
