This kind of thing happens when you make shiat up as you go along and don't really worry about continuity.

Like Luke and Leia being Force-sensitive twins who made out, but later admitted they'd always felt (implied: the Force told them) related.   Essentially, RotJ tells you Luke and Leia were cool with the incest thing as long as it was on the down low.

How about that thing where force users are super sensitive to other forces users yet everyone seems able to sneak past everyone else when story calls for it?  How about not being able to detect the Sith Lord, the *only* Sith Lord, embodiment of every Sith Lord ever, when he's standing 2 feet away from you doing evil shiat.  ITS PALPATINE! Prequels done instantly.  Lucas' writing sucks, bottom line.

That's not a plot-hole, that's the actual plot. The whole point of the Prequels was that the Jedi had become so overconfident and complacent that they failed to see the threat sitting right in front of them. The Sith are good at hiding and the Jedi lost the ability to detect them.

That can be sort of rationalized. Familiarity requirements can explain some of this but not all. Clearly that would be an attempt to fix what the creators did wrong.

It is almost like the saga was created over decades by many writers, directors, and actors.  Trek also suffers from the same problem. As did Greek mythology and most religions.

It has been long-established that different Force-users have different affinities and different abilities. Few other Force users in history can do what Mace Windu does (Shatterpoint). Yoda can counter Force Lightning with his bare hands while most other Jedi need a lightsaber to block the attack. Obi-Wan is particularly skilled at lightsaber combat (Yoda himself referred to Obi-Wan as the best; Not the flashiest, but the best.) Rey can Force heal, as can Grogu (and yes, it takes some of the Jedi's own life force to do it; Sith do it by stealing the life force from someone closely connected in the Force to the person they're healing.)

Just like with other skills and talents, some people are better at some things, some people are naturals at some things, and some people can't do some things at all. The Force isn't like magic in Harry Potter. The Ancient Jedi Texts are not spellbooks. You can't learn an ability you don't have an affinity for and you can't perform certain Force powers if you aren't in the right state of mind/connection with the Force.

This video is stupid. If you're going to make fun of something, at least understand what you're making fun of before trying to poke holes in it.

If you think the plot of a Star Wars movie was too hard to figure out, I don't know what else to say

I'm willing to give the force healing a bit of a pass bc it makes sense within the universe that light side Force users would have something like that. The Jedi have gone through multiple purges in their history so it being some lost technique in the Jedi manuscripts would also make sense. Instead we get some hand waving explanation from JJ Fanboy about a special force bound with Kylo Ren or something.

Star Wars needs a writer like Sanderson to lay down some ground rules on how the Force works. Given Disney's track record though, we're more likely to get Kevin J Anderson or Chuck Wendig writing some bloated power creep nonsense.

The bigger question is how nobody seems to sense Leila's force potential, even standing right next to her.

Being able to rationalize something is not a good thing.  You can rationalize murder, atrocity, any sort of mistake or error, you haven't corrected or explained it when doing so.

It is almost like the saga was created over decades by many writers, directors, and actors.  Trek also suffers from the same problem. As did Greek mythology and most religions.

Those sagas and myths had the difficulty of multiple authors, interlocutors, and thousands of years of information corruption and translation.  Star Wars has none of those things: One creator, alive throughout the creation of the entire process, with the ability to farking go back and edit the original source material at will.  The Odyssey was a masterwork that was performed in an oral tradition, by one speaker and some accompaniment over several hours/days of performance.  Don't compare Star Wars to The Odyssey, please. Please.

That's
the plot?!?  I'm glad you know the plot, because on a few rewatches I found it completely incomprehensible and utterly lacking in focus.  I don't think even Lucas knew the plot: When you see him writing and adding scenes on the fly, in the "making ofs" and extras he acts like he's a jazz musician, riffing on some higher muse, without a clue what comes next.

The prequel trilogy had a lot of problems, but an incomprehensible plot was definitely not one of them. And that "plot hole" was something the characters explained explicitly out loud several times. I don't know how you missed it. It was a main focus of all three films.

Except Grogu can do it too so apparently it's just a power that not all Jedi can access.

The Min/Max Munchkins are gnashing their teeth with rage that you can't just get whatever skills whenever you need them.
Anyway, the visions ANAKIN had said she was gonna die, right? Why would Force healing negate certain doom?
