FTFA:
"Does a milquetoast Swiss club secretly control the Canadian government? Or is the prime minister of Canada a suggestible dope?"

I'm gonna go with the unmentioned 3rd option, "Or am I an utter whackjob who needs help screwing his pants onto his head in the morning?"

The gif of Trudeau with puppet strings gives that away. They're worse than Facebook trolls.

Apropos nothing at all... After I returned this evening to my quiet Ottawa neighbourhood I found the mailbox at my door full of anti-abortion propaganda... with graphic pictures of bloody fetuses and all. All my neighbours were hit the same way as far as I could see.

This kind of things was so far limited to the nutcases picketing the abortions clinics, they never dropped the pamphlets in people mailboxes and I live here for over 20 years now...

Almost feel sorry that I didn't see who did it because I would have some serious exchange of the views with them.
Feeling stabby now...

If anybody ever tries to push anti-abortion propaganda in my face, I swear to you I will do my utmost to convince them to terminate themselves.  And I can be pretty convincing when I put my mind to it.

I'm not going to be a fence-sitter if the right makes significant advances here.

FTA: Here he is in 2017 claiming his organization has been able to "penetrate" the cabinets of world governments, including "half" the cabinet of Prime Minister Trudeau. And it's not just Klaus. Here's a 2016 video in which the group claims that the future will be one in which "you'll own nothing and you'll be happy."

I get to use this again:

This would be a good time to remind Farkers that Postmedia is owned by an American hedge fund and run by skeezeweasel extraordinaire Andrew MacLeod. They are losing money and one of the only reasons they are afloat, ironically, is because of the Liberal government's subsidy policy and some ad revenue from advertorials posing as news.

While not quite Fox News North, it's damn close - and the only reason they exist is to gin up the Right Wing media presence in Canada.

Fark them. They only live to undermine decency and the rule of law.

I mean he's not wrong-ish.  People attribute way too much power to their ideas, like the great reset.

But they do have a lot of sway in worldwide governments as they're titans of industry.  As individuals the influence trade deals, and policy, as trade group members they influence the same with the trade groups they lead or are a part of, along with the politicians they buy donate to.

The stupid evil plots people attribute to them is the dumbest shiat ever.  Every year at Davos they have a theme and have speakers and then discussion panels on how to accomplish said goal and it's really the only part of the summit that is broadcast and available to the public for access.

None of them are evil or bad, but the fact that anyone would take them serious on any of it is a joke.  The whole point of that part of the summit is for good PR.  "Hey look everyone!  We, the world's richest people are gathering together to talk about how we can make the world a better place for you!  Please ignore the disgusting amount of money we're holding while robbing you blind and destroying ylthe earth.  We said we were going to use the pandemic to "reset" the economic situation to help everyone get out of poverty and escape this widening gap of economic inequality."

If anyone thought for half a second what that meant, the only way to give up their own profits or income.

That shiat wasn't going to happen.

But it's the same for every year and every theme.  Anyone remember Greta Thurnburg?  That was Davos.  They said they'd cut global carbon emissions and show governments how it's done.

Nothing ever happened.  In fact emissions increased.

The only thing these ideas are good for is making them feel better and try to make the world hate them less.  The other thing is that it's a tax write off.  They create a charity for whatever theme it is (of course they're paid board members) which then "investigates" ways to implement said idea.  Which never comes about.  Then they write off the millions they donated and get to pay less taxes.

Anyone who takes them seriously in any way, those that take their ideas at face value, or those who ascribe nefarious plots to these ideas are either incredibly stupid or pants on head crazy.

None of their ideas are crazy or evil like the right tries to make them out to be, they're not bad ideas and can truly help the world....

They just have no interest in actually implementing them as it would cut into profits.

They recently published a huge op-ed about how there weren't ACTUALLY any bodies found near residential schools, so we shouldn't be upset about the genocide of the native people.

They then published a second story defending the first story, because pretty much everyone agreed that it was farking awful.

The National Post is.....an interesting paper.

Actually, there's no print edition, so it's not even good for that.

Ugh... Let me just put on my best Sterling Archer voice.

So the National Post officially has no purpose.
