Store her in the butcher shop fridge, next to the body of John Locke.

what a sad story.  I read a detailed account, just about a year ago in a music magazine, from people who were there.  he was working on a new record, and was dissatisfied with the music, so he'd arranged for some friends from New York or what the fark, to fly in to Memphis and help finish the record.  they were going to land that night and they'd already booked studio time later that night.  "we had that entire night planned out, just waiting for them to land and get to Jeff's house, and on to the studio."

Jeff and pals went to the river to kill some time, and a fully clothed Jeff waded in as Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" blasted on a boombox.  his friends thought he was pulling a prank. he went under and they're like, "ok jeff, ha ha ha, come on up." and after a minute or two they're like, "wtf?"  they jump in trying to find him and have to give up and call the authorities.  his body is found 4-5 days later down the river.

apparently a boat went by them around the same time, but the friends were like, "yeah it made a bit of a wave, but, nothing that would have, you know, knocked him out or knocked the wind out of him."

autopsy had zero drugs/alcohol in system, no signs of trauma.  complete mystery what happened.   some obviously said suicide, but his friends in the article were like, "no farking way, we'd been working on the record for months, and he'd spent days arguing with the label for his pals to come finish the record.  we had weeks of studio time booked and jeff had a ton of lyrics ready.  to this day i'm like, 'what the absolute fark happened that night?'  i still miss him."

I only knew Mara from "Nash Bridges".  always found her very attractive, but her character got written out in like two seasons.  RIP cute lady.

I'm sure there are better ways to get to Canada. I blame the Supreme Court.

You're a terrible person and should be ashamed of your existence.

Theory I heard was that the wake hit him from behind. Being startled by it caused him to inhale some water, or for his throat to close up momentarily when he was out of breath, and just fainted from the circumstances.

Drowning almost never involves a lot of thrashing about or struggling. People have drowned in pools while surrounded by others.

The recent incident of the synchronized swimmer who fainted comes to mind. Even a trained swimmer can get taken by surprise.

yeah, maybe the wave did have more than the friend said.   either way, a 2021ish account, pardon the pun, throwing water on the "a disguised suicide" thing.  he had so much going on, but inexplicably - apparently a goof - walked in fully clothed, and, BAM.  game over.

rogue wave theory, i've been there.  San Diego a few years ago, waves slamming the shore, i swam in them for hours.  one came in, Chest deep, I stepped in the ocean sand, BAM!  Thrown in the washing machine for what felt like minutes but was probably just, 10 seconds. no idea of up or down, left or right. surfaced.  skin  breaks  / capillary blood on my face, shoulders, elbows, knees, my entire body in panic mode, heart pounding, with adrenalin, pinpricks everywhere.

my wife goes, "are you ok?  You're shaking."  didn't even notice until she told me.  and i was in fact shaking like a motherfarker, and the pinpricks all over my body, my mind like NOPE.  didn't go in above the knees the rest of the trip.
