It makes your mouth generate more saliva.

Saliva is natural tooth and gum defense, kills germs and remineralizes enamel.

Baby's are champions at generating saliva. As you get older your mouth gets dryer, this cal lead to gum loss or tooth decay.

/ I had my dentist telling me to floss more, even though I was flossing well every day my gums were receding. Started chewing sugarless gum when my mouth feels dry at work and bought a water pick. Last time I went to the dentist, the hygienist said "whatever you are doing, keep doing it".

//so cheap and easy way to help keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Be careful.  if you're like me and didn't think about how much sugar free sweetener you were taking in... well. You chew enough of that gum during the day and eventually you're getting explosive poops.

I have that problem with any sugar-alcohol, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol, and xylitol being the most common ones. Some days, one stick of sugar-free gum will trigger my GI.

19.6% of U.S. adults had high cardiovascular health; 62.5% moderate; and 17.9% low.

It's almost as if most people are not at the top of the curve!

I keep a photo of Subby's mom around to help me generate saliva.

I've had 2 open heart surgeries in the last three years and I think I may be ahead of the curve....and I'm all out of gum.
