You really can't overstate Jein's involvement with Star Trek model work.  If you watched any of STTNG, he was involved.  From all three Enterprise-D models, the Ambassador, Nebula, Vor'cha, and so many more.

The guy was a titan of Star Trek's starship side.

God's speed, first star to the right and all.

I didn't know much about him but am sure I've seen him in some ILM and movie magic docs over the years.  Guys like him bring imaginary stuff to life and give us a glimpse of what could be.
