Not a payment for services rendered/to be rendered?

BURN. THEM. ALL.

Save America PAC was specifically formed to help Stop the Steal - that's their political issue.  They can - ostensibly - give money to any candidate or entity that helps their mission.  it's not illegal until or unless DOJ decides the whole Stop the Steal thing, the Big Lie, is prosecutable.

So... yeah.

"This needs to be reexamined"

Was it ever examined?

Cuz you'd think there'd've been some consequences if it had.

You know, what with it being blatantly obvious witness tampering and stuff...

Hush money.

If it was illegal then the DoJ would have arrested #45. Only guilty people are arrested.

Donation aka bribe.

2022-06-28 6:12:46 PM
Back in the day they were a little more subtle about hush money. Now it's like one of those big lottery checks with a memo line of "because you lied to them for me"

2022-06-28 6:18:31 PM
Sounds like a bribe to me.

I suspect that the Jan 6 committee already knows the answer to that question.

And this time Michael Cohen didn't even have to beg to be reimbursed for writing a check to a porn star.

2022-06-28 6:25:28 PM
Nice try, libs. But it isn't illegal to give someone else money. When I went down to the gas station to get a can of skoal and lottery tickets, I had to give Emma Jean the cashier lady money. I ain't had no government agency investigate me over there. Then I had to mortgage my house again to pay for gas for my Ford F-150 and also because I keep getting fined for rolling coal. Thanks, President Brandon.

The newish part is that this money came from the Official Election Defense Fund.
As to who else got some, it's an interesting list, and contains one name I really want to know more about:
Chuck Grassley

He said before the 6th he was going to replace Pence.
That needs to be reexamined.

1/6 cmte should explore criminalizing crime

2022-06-28 6:29:04 PM
FTFA: In December, the House voted to recommend that the Department of Justice pursue criminal charges against Meadows for refusing to cooperate with the committee's probe.

Yeah, how's that going I wonder? I'm guessing about the same as those charges recommended in The Mueller Report, many of which are no longer prosecutable because they've timed-out.

All this chucklefark Garland does is come up with the silliest possible bullshiat charges against the dumb rednecks who shoved the cops around. When it comes to Republicans, he just kills time watching statutes of limitations lapse.

This is what happens people, when you don't elect Democrats!

Oh...wait.

Ferfuksake, Biden might as well have re-appointed Bill Barr.

These revelations will result in an outpouring of deep concern.
Why, there may even be a sternly worded letter to come out of this business.

The politico-evolutionary pressures necessitating that subtlety have vanished. The dinosaurs have died out, time for the rats to grow to unusual sizes.

Reexamining this might reveal an agreement somewhere if both parties didn't eat the paper it was written on or flush it down the toilet.

Otherwise, we just have a donation and giving money to other people isn't illegal.

It seems that Trump understands, unlike Nixon, that the cover-up is the crime. Therefore, if you just make it obvious, it's ok!

Or, to pay his legal bills for actions taken on behalf of the entity, like crime families do.  Meadows is a "made man" in the Trump Crime family.  Either way, I'm betting there's enough cover for it that it'll be years before anyone gets around to untangling it, and the chance of prosecution will be low.  But that's just my guess.  Could be wrong, the DOJ might decide it's OK to prosecute this particular obvious crime.  It's not like he's Trump or anything.

this is the reason for Rep Thompson warning at the end that their doors are open for those who haven't come forward.  Right after the presentation from other testimony about the "stay on the team" messages being sent to people about to testify.

They know about that donation regardless.

There's more to come. I'm gonna suggest the fact that the USSS confrontation made it to the public is an indication that they have LOTS of similar witness tampering evidence. They're trying to put Meadows in a public box he can't get out of & cannot avoid.
