It doesn't really matter if we have a recession or not.  People are going to save we're in one because they feel like it, and they're saying that they feel like it.

The 2008 recession was over for 5 years and you still had people saying "in this economy."

It's funny how that happens when a Republican president drives the US/World economy into a ditch Mariana Trench and then the entire Rightwingisphere starts shiatting on the subsequent president, a Democrat as he attempts to dig the country out and they're repeating that things are so bad because of a Democrat and even retconning the start and cause of the recession and damn it all if that same thing didn't happen in 2021 for some reason.

A recession there may be, but it's unlikely to happen because of interest rates (which have been so low in recent years they've approached zero).
