Here is something, instead of biatching about not getting everything you want from Democrats and threaten to sit it out until you do, maybe--just maybe, recognize the alternative of not getting everything--is literally getting a shiat sandwich mixed with a side of fascism.

Then volunteer, organize and vote and not on just on a social media poll, but a real vote.

Here's another idea: Democrats could start doing good things now. Right now, getting anything from Democrats doesn't seem to be possible. Until that happens, maybe stop gaslighting?

We elected Democrats to majorities in the House and Senate and to the White House and all we're getting is a shiat sandwich mixed with a side of fascism. Democrats don't seem to care about their failure because they can simply fundraise off of it.

Does Gen-Z go until "Gen Alpha", (born 2010+) or is there anyone in between...although yeah, there are a lot of Gen-Z that can or will be able to vote.

Let's not nitpick this down to exact years or amorphous generational identities.  Young people don't vote enough because they think politics don't matter.  Or they're too busy doing other shiat.

Whatever you call the demographic represented here, less than half of 18-29yr olds voted in 2016, which is when this could've been avoided.

(Hint: Very few were 18.)

Something to ponder, thanks to the GOP not only can the government arrest you for having or performing an abortion, but now the government doesn't have to read you your Miranda Rights when they do. Two rights we had a little over a week ago are gone forever. Slippery slope to tyranny at its finest.

No one is as bad as Millennials and Gen Xers, who single-handedly ruined this country. They gave us smartphones, the internet, smart air conditioning, smart refrigeration, smart TVs, Netflix, Amazon, Wal Mart, Dominos Pizza, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Taco Bell, zillow (who won't decrease house prices), Biden/Obama, Clinton, vaccines, Uber, cryptocurrency, dotcom bubble, and Air bnb.

In my experience Gen Z is very rapid for causes. More than Millenials. Z's leave no room for nuance and go on the attack. They'll also their gens slang like 'bet', 'lit', 'no cap' etc. They hate boomers and are ambivalent about Gen X, seem to tolerate them more. Z's are not afraid to get out there and stand up for what they believe in, even if those beliefs are immature.

Depending on who you ask I am a millennial (1983) and the Z consider me old.

I am glad Millenials have this néw ally. Many Gen Xers (or maybe just enough were allowed the propaganda that is the American Dream) sided with the boomers. They sold out, man. Got theirs, finally.

Anyway.

The absolute state of the Democratic response to this should really knock some scales from some eyes.  Completely disorganized, despite 6 weeks of time to come up with responses and messaging.

Of course, it won't knock any scales from any eyes, but it should.

AdmirableSnackbar: Here's another idea: Democrats could start doing good things now. Right now, getting anything from Democrats doesn't seem to be possible. Until that happens, maybe stop gaslighting?

This brings me to my key question: why didn't the democrats have a bunch of bills ready to go within days of the Roe leak. I agree that their power is limited, and I understand that- so what do they do within their power? Right now, what they seem to be doing is sing-alongs and "this is why we need you to vote".

The Democrats need to have a nationwide plan, organized at every level of politics, with clear strategic objectives supported by actionable tactical steps. Demonstrable progress along the way, even if it's baby steps. And it's important to note here: actual progress towards a goal.

I'm gonna pick on the ACA here, because it's a good example. ACA was never the goal. ACA was a step towards the goal, and not the worst step. But once it was passed, simply pointing out that it wasn't the goal was taken as heresy in Democratic circles. It was the largest legislative success of Obama's tenure, and that's just farking sad.
