Who would be so stupid to threaten Australia when they have spiders the size of mammals?

Yeah? Well, we've still got cane toads and rabbits on standby. Cutest environmental devestation ever.

Australia doesn't want nukes.  They're the place that survives, according to all the good science fiction.

Yeah, I don't quite think adult Australians talk like the desperate idiots here who think they're cool when saying "FAFO" like they're teenagers.

I know the headline was a joke, but still kinda wanted to have a minister say something like that. That's not a spider, THIS is a spider!

Why does Australia need nukes when they have ASIS, the most effective spy agency in the world.

Have you heard of any successful ASIS operations? No, you haven't. Unlike the CIA or Mossad, ASIS doesn't feel the need to bignote itself.

Well, that's a mistake.

Get nukes or get owned, Australia.

It's worth it for it's easily defendable position and you get an sweet 5 armies after every turn.

Under the agreement, called AUKUS, Australia is to acquire nuclear-powered submarines. Some countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, including Malaysia, fear the pact could escalate tensions in hot spots such as the disputed South China Sea, much of which is claimed by China, and have warned the pact will threaten regional stability.

If you can't tell the difference between a nuclear-POWERED submarine and a nuclear-ARMED one, you've probably spent too much time in the outback.

Is there even a pact?

As far as I can tell, AUKUS is just a nuclear sub deal.

Most Americans wouldn't last 5 minutes in an Australian workplace without breaking down. Americans, in general, think they are pretty rugged, but the truth is compared to Australians, Americans are polite and well mannered dandies. Australian tradies use fark as a space bar and coont as a full stop.

The USMC didn't have the reputation of crayon eating simpletons until they were dropped on their heads a few times by Australian women during WWII. They were sent to Aussie before the Pacific Islands to toughen them up.

Glockenspiel Hero: Nuclear armed drop bears would be the end of humanity

'Scuse me, there's a knock on my door.  My tenth-floor balcony door.

Oh, hey, it's a beautifully carved piece of eucalyptus bark.  It says "We'd rather do you slowly."

Gotta go never sleep again, bye
