All according to the owner's plan.

Well, the best players in the A's organization tend to be on their AAA squad, so it's probably fitting that they outdraw the AAAA squad in Oakland.

Please don't move them here.  The Raiders are seen as California's team that plays in California's weekend spot.  If the A's move here and build a stadium on The Strip and hook up with a Strip casino for marketing purposes, they won't be embraced by the locals.

Their AAA team at least markets to the locals, VGK turned down casinos in their ticket drive and went for locals (and were out in the community after One October, and were good on the outset). The new NBA proposed arena already screams "come to Las Vegas and we'll comp you," and they haven't even made a proposal to the Association.  At least the proposed MLS team had a focus group to learn what to do and what not to do.

Las Vegas also has twice the population at this point. But yeah, the A's barely draw over 1.5 million when they're good. Not saying they should move, but it's not like that many people are going to miss them in Oakland if they do

Summer soccer in Las Vegas? Even the corrupt morons who put the World Cup in Qatar had the sense to move the tournament to November.

Vegas was smarter than that. They covered their stadium and it's as cool as any of the casinos. You can go see a C-team El Classico there this summer.

there's already a summer soccer team in Vegas, the Lights FC. They share the stadium with the baseball team

fun fact, the last game Messi, Neymar and Suarez played together was the Miami El Clasico at the Dolphins' stadium

Also sad Oakland once had three pro sports team at one time and long before that a NHL team. That many and soon none.

Isn't attendance a problem for all the baseball teams right now?

People are getting tired of the ownership selling off every decent player year after year.
If the owners don't care about the team why should the fans.
Same situation with the San Jose Earthquakes as they have the same ownership.

The same thing happened back when their AAA team played in Sacramento.

The plan is to build a stadium with a roof next to the proposed train station and that NBA arena I mentioned above.

Why does the NBA need its own arena? It can't share with the Knights?

Or has the Vegas money grab gone full tilt?

The two seasons are literally during the same time frame. So you'd have over-lapping schedules and the whole "freeze then un-freeze the floor" thing.

That happens all over, so it's not unusual. The truth is that T-Mobile Arena has so many non-VGK events during the season, why not build another one.  I mean, it's not like there are five other arenas in town, two within walking distance from T-Mobile.

If I remember correctly, the Canadian Football team that played there was in the summer.
I do remember being really hot watching games at the Silver Bowl when I lived there.

Madison Square Garden (NYC)
TD Garden (BOS)
Little Caesars Arena (DET)
Scotiabank Arena (TOR)
Wells Fargo Center (PHI)
Capital One Arena (DC)
United Center (CHI)
Ball Arena (DEN)
American Airlines Center (DAL)
Crypto.com Arena (LA)

..have all seemed to have figured out how to share a facility between NHL and NBA teams..
hell, Crypto.com has TWO NBA teams

Like ballorubber said, Vegas is unique, with T Mobile already getting plenty of shows. I don't know what saturation would be though. Maybe if a new arena was built for an NBA team, other venues would be torn down if that happens.
