(Metro)   You're enjoying a pint at your favorite local pub when suddenly some tone-deaf twit starts tickling the ivories and you realize it's the guy from Coldplay and you remember wasting money on X&Y and suddenly you drink more, remembering the early 2000s   (metro.co.uk) divider line

Worse, you start remembering GOOP and wishing you were drinking a Zima.

I'll never forgive them for lifting Kraftwerk's Computer Love for Talk or plagiarizing Ailzee's J'En Ai Marre.

Chris also gave the soon-to-be-married couple some relationship advice, telling groom Jeremy to 'listen to everything' that bride Hannah says.

"Chris, I'm working on a new coffee enema device, finish up in the studio and come home."

I saw Coldplay in concert in Atlanta.

It wasn't my choice of artist, I wasn't really a fan of Coldplay, but it was a fantastic concert by, dare I say, talented individuals.

The synchronized led wrist bands were a nice touch.

Cheers, Chris.

/80% of the crowd were women so that was nice

I'd rather drink a Zima than listen to Coldplay. Yeah, I said it.

Yeah.  I'm not a Coldplay fan, but I've also never heard anything about them to make me dislike them, either.  Martin seems a genuinely good guy and goes out of his way to help people.  He even supports his boyhood side in football, and not some Premier League bunch of tossers that the slebs gravitate towards.

Kraftwerk is for weirdly effeminate Eurotrash. It's what the SS troops' grandchildren listened to.

Spineless, emotionless sound with no variety, less taste and little attempt to pull off anything experimental, artistically satisfying or new

With comments like that, it's clear to me that both of you have absolutely no idea who Kraftwerk was, is, or how critically important they are to many genres of music. One of their largest fan bases, for example, in the US was the soul/funk scene, so you can fark right off with that emotionless/spineless sound bullshiat. But they were at least good enough for Coldplay to rip off.

Either that or you're both trolling, in which case, well played. ;-)

This review of a half-full show in Newcastle was par for the course: "Spineless, emotionless sound with no variety, less taste... [and] damn little attempt to pull off anything experimental, artistically satisfying or new," wrote Keith Ging in the Melody Maker. "For God's sake," he railed, "keep the robots out of music."

I'd prefer to drink a Zima *while* listening to Coldplay at a nice Bowl - Hollywood or Santa Barbara .
