How many US Senators did Israeli businesses illegally lobby to vote for the 5 SCOTUS justices that overturned Roe?

I was wondering how many posts it would take for anti-Semitism to strike.  Done in one.

Criticism of the government of Israel is not automatically antisemitism.

Oops, not the government being criticized. Still, not antisemitism.

Israel is desperate for immigration from high-tech nations.  Tons of people support Israel, but few people actually want to live there, except from Africa.

Huh? Are you implying that Israelis worked to overturn Roe v Wade so that more people come here to get abortions?

Ive always found it frustrating that the same people who want to boycott Disney support giving billions to a country with universal healthcare that funds abortions.

Christian conservatives have no problem paying for Israeli abortions.

The following statement is not antisemitism. Fark the governmental policies of Israel in general and towards the Palestinians in particular.

Israel does not equal Jews. Criticism of Israel is not criticism of Jews. Criticism of their interference in our political processes is not criticism of Jews. Criticism for Israel's human rights abuses is not criticism of Jews. See how that works?

I'm pretty sure that selecting "American Conservative" as part of the character's background package grants a hefty bonus to resist cognitive dissonance.

Their unequivocal support for Israel rest solely on bringing about the end of the world.  The fact Israel cultivates their support isn't a mystery either -- but I'd personally choose allies that don't want me dead in the long run even if their belief is based on delusions. Ultimately however, both seek to divide the world into hostile ethnic and religious nation states.

This seems like a gestural move to harbor international goodwill when I seriously doubt that any American women are going to Israel just to have an abortion. A PR stunt basically

If they truly want to harbor international goodwill they could let their closest neighbors travel to a hospital without having to go through multiple checkpoints.

They don't actually support Israel. They support the Evangelical end times

Zero, for them Israel exists to fulfill an end times prophecy where they eat shiat and then Jesus comes back, everything else involving brutalized civilians and dead reporters is a nice bonus for them.

Someone might catch them in a gotcha interview moment but that's it.

If freaking Israel's doing anything more morally right than you, you're absolutely the bad guy.

On another note, is green a color associated with pro-choice? I've seen a lot of green bandanas in pictures of protests.

Knowing how those posters usually 'evolve' over the course of a discussion, possibly something like that.

However, given that there is a significant financial/political link between Israel and American politics, and that Israel is historically very much about the realpolitik... revelations about Israel funding GOP programs for financial advantage despite knowing how shiatty that could be for American citizens would surprise me about as much as sunrise.

American Christians love their apocalypse, and while they might hate Jews they have nothing against using them to prep for Armageddon.

It has to be a troll at this point, right?  Calling Israel a "liberal run country" is hilarious enough, but complaining about someone inserting religion into politics on this topic?  There's no possible way someone could say that with a straight face.

I wonder about that.  That always seems to be a really weirdly specific bit of folklore, not the kind of story that your average godbotherer would be familiar with.  It also assumes that high-ranking Republicans are genuinely religious nuts, rather than using the rubes to their advantage.  Maybe a few people know about it and actually believe it, but it seems more likely it's the "they're our only allies in the region" (read:  They hate Muslims as much as Republicans do and people like Sheldon Adelson donate shiatloads of money to Republican politicians) thing.

Being able to rightfully chastise Qonservatives over their attack on Roe as being anti-Semitic would be strategically great, if they weren't already heavily leaning into the Nazism.

Ironically the one color of people Israel absolutely does not want living there.

F*ck you for sterilizing Ethiopians without their consent, Israel. That's literally a form of genocide, you hypocritical monsters.

Moreover, to say criticizing Israel is the same as criticizing Jews is to conflate Israel and Jewish people as the exact same thing, and that's antisemitism.

Furthermore, it blatantly ignores that Israel is more than just Jewish people. It blatantly erases the very real existence and lives of the many Muslims, Christians, and various other non-Jewish peoples who live there. To call criticism of the state of Israel antisemitic is to say "I, as a Jew, am offended on behalf of Israel, which is our country and no one else's and they don't have an opinion and they don't count. It's my offense that matters."
