Nature can be cruel...

Is that from one those people that go and take wildlife into their house because reasons? Looks like someone that needs a visit from parks and wildlife police (DNR) bears and deer don't belong in homes.

Getting some strong "Bambi on ice" vibes from that vid. Saw that fawn struggling to move on the hardwood.

I, too, want to know why these people have a baby deer and baby bear in their living room. If they're part of some sanctioned wildlife rehab program, or something along those lines, then OK. Cute video. If this is some asshole showing off "pets" he found, then I hope he gets arrested very soon.

No legitimate and licensed wildlife rehabilitator is going to have a deer be friends with a bear. The aim of rehab is to release the animals back into their natural habitat. Both of the deer and bear are not going to be released and survive. Decent chance they are being raised for a canned hunt.

That would be my expectation, and was my impression after watching the video. I'd still like to know what the background is here, but don't really believe that this person represents any sort of appropriate or praiseworthy activity. Maybe I'm wrong, and if I am I'd love to be shown that I am. But barring that, this video belongs in the hands of authorities, not on the Fark "Sappy" tag.

FFS people. Just enjoy the damn video and stop playing Junior Forest Ranger. You don't know the circumstances so stop projecting your Karen-ness on a minute of joy .

A shy Boog the bear meets a deer at Point View Farm in West Virginia
He is tentative and hides behind the stairs and clings to the banister
Joel Rosenthal filmed the encounter at his rescue farm in West Virginia
Mr Rosenthal rescues hundreds of animals and often posts videos of them

Joel Rosenthal, 74 at that time, owns and rubs Point of View Farm wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation.

It's in West Virginia and I guess he follows his own rules.

West Virginia animal sanctuary is 'personal slice of Nirvana' (With video)

"Someone brought Rose to me when she was 8 weeks old," he says.
Rosenthal's method of caring for Rose was a bit different than what one might expect. Instead of placing her in one of the farm's many enclosed pens, he first raised her inside his home for a couple months and released her after a year and a half. Rose doesn't stay away for long, Rosenthal says she established the woods around the farm as her territory. She comes in and out every winter on her own accord.
"Fortunately, she comes in around hunting season and I can lock her up and keep her from getting out," he says.

For now, he's the only person in West Virginia, he says, who does animal rehab legally.
