Just make a pasta salad, and if you want to be fancy make your own mayo.

My grandma's version is made exclusively with giant elbow macaroni, lots of hard boiled eggs, and a light coating of a just-sweet-enough blend of mayo, Miracle Whip, and sweet relish. It's my ultimate comfort food.

You sound like the bed-of-nails type.

I started craving macaroni salad this spring. I haven't had it in 20 years, when my mom last made it. No Miracle Whip and no eggs, but green and black olives and green onion and red pepper and some citrus/butter seasoning and celery salt to boost it.
There's something about delicious nostalgia and sinful carboliciousness that'shiatting me right in the appetite. I plan to make more this week, even though the only pasta I have is shells.
Added bonus is I'm the only one who likes it, so it's mine, all mine!

Pretty much my mom's recipe except she only use a blend of miracle whip / mustard and grated carrot instead of relish.

Oh wow somehow my eyes completely skipped the mayo part, mil makes it with miracle whip.

** Made it tonight, with some spicy mustard and Italian dressing to keep it moist. I cut some garlic chives from the garden and shredded in some pepper jack.
It was perfect with skewered, grilled chicken. I'm the only one who knows how perfect.
It's our little secret, OK?
