They're all jackasses to me.

Bam was always a punk. His idea of a prank was a bat to the back of the head, and whenever he got pranked he was always salty about it.

"This comes almost two weeks after the pro skateboarder left the facility the first time. A police report stated he was not happy with LifeSkills' services which did not include giving him drugs when he wanted them, and was supposed to check into another facility during his first disappearance."

He's shopping around for a facility that will treat him like a rich, spoiled, entitled jackass.

Look for the closest buffet....he will be there...

He simply hasn't suffered enough to trigger his moment of clarity. He still thinks he can somehow game his way out of this.
He will learn or he will perish.

You cannot force someone to sober up*, you just can't, it has to be their choice! You can beg, plead, cry, and scream but unless it's what they want, they can't hear you. I don't really know anything about him except that he is (I think)a skateboarder and that he is associated with the Jackass guys. I don't think there is much self-reflection going on with that bunch. Anyway, I hope he can balance himself out but this 'being missing from rehab' isn't promising.

*I mean sober of any and all mind-altering substances, not just booze.

You tried to make him go to rehab and he said no, no, no.

Almost the entire rest of the crew has actually sobered up/toned things down.  Steve-O's turnaround is really impressive.

Maybe he suffers from Peter Pan Syndrome and will never grow up and change his ways.

Before he got famous he was quite the raging a$$hat about town. Most folks who knew him in West Chester figured he'd be in jail for most of his 30s.

And that was the skateboard community.

His sense of humor was, to put it simply, often cruel. Still not sure why those guys stuck with him.

He was definitely the guy who could kinda dish it out, but couldn't take it. And most of his legal issues around here when he was younger were because someone turned the tables on him when he tried to pull some nonsense and he lost his shiat.

Def. Steve-O's podcast is a lot of fun and he's a really good interviewer. He's still funny, but in a more grown-up, recognizing the stupidity of his youth, etc. It's been cool to see.

I always got the feeling Bam was a poser that everybody tolerated but nobody really liked.  And you can see in some stunts that the guys really did enjoy his honest suffering because he was such an unlikable douche.  Knoxville gets hurt, he either shakes it off or you kinda feel sorry because he comes off as a likeable guy with a death wish.  Bam was just some idiot who like taunting the slow kids and beating up his dad on the toilet that they probably kept around so they can inflict some really heinous shiat on him because on some level he deserved it.

But anyway, he's probably dead or doing this because this is the first time in a decade or two that he's gotten attention.  He's never going to change and truth be told the way he's going dying of an overdose or something would save his family some unnecessary grief.

Came here to say this , it will never work until he realizes for himself he needs to stop.
Unfortunately I have known people that died from their drinking because the addiction was stronger than their will to quit.

You would think that with some of the things that happened to his friends over the years, he'd get the message.

But that's never been Margera's style. Quite literally if Knocksville was the caveman to discover fire, Margera would be the caveman to discover stop, drop, and roll. And usually at least twice before he'd actually figure it out.

So he lived the jackass way before he was even officially a jackass?

Well, you can kinda force people to sober up, but you have to really lead them into a way of thinking. People don't just choose to be addicted, but their brain has to click and see a path forward.

So therapy, and a willing mindset.

More like a$$hat, but that didn't have quite the marketing ring.

And Andy Dick already had a trademark on that one.

I just post in these threads to feel better than the people who post in these threads to feel better than Bam.

/but seriously, the only way he cleans up is if people stop putting up with his shiat and start ignoring him.

bam margera is an unrepentant spoiled dickhead, but 'rehab' in florida works for addicts like 'pregnancy crisis centers' do for women who need abortions. rehab is an extremely under-regulated industry in that state, and dozens upon dozens of shady operators scam desperate addicts & their families out of hundreds of thousands of dollars running what are essentially shiatty B&Bs with no training, education, experience or oversight. rarely does a FL rehab turn out someone who doesn't go right back to addict behavior. they bet on it, and some have gone so far as to pay addicts and supply them with drugs to go through the system several times.

Well, that's good. Sometimes if your group starts maturing they can drag you with them, of course, he still has to want it.

i understand what you are saying, but isn't it possible that his addiction is stronger than his self-worth?  He's a grown-ass man... i would think he fully well knows by now how whatever junk he's on has ruined his life, but the craving and need is too much for him to go thru the pain of trying to change it.

The clarity of rock-bottom isn't necessarily enough to seek improvement, in other words.
