Yes.

I agree in general, but this 'You need to be making 48-hour chocolate chip cookies.' WTF is that? Does that time include harvesting the cacao?

5 minutes to gather ingredients, 10 minutes to measure and mix while the oven is heating, 12 minutes to bake. Anyone with even a minimally stocked kitchen is never more than a half hour away from fresh home made cookies.

You can eat an edible, start baking, and have warm homemade cookies from scratch before the effects kick in.

This is -extremely- misleading. Rent and costs of such consumer products as the food you need to not starve, the clothing you need to not freeze to death, and the car you need to actually have a job anywhere that the rent isn't 2k+ have all gone way up, while inflation has lowered the value of the currency. Wages have not even remotely kept pace. So what you're telling people is, "Oh, you don't have enough money to subsist? Just spend less than subsistence then!" That's called dying.

Better yet, make drop cookies which can be frozen for up to six months.  I make two boxes of cookies, roll them into balls, and freeze them 12 to a bag.  Any time I want fresh cookies, pop 'em in the oven.  Truth be told, I eat them as cookie dough.

I should have added that the cookies are edibles themselves.

I was about to say. Frozen balls of cookie dough? In the freezer? Might as well be popcorn.

Never having had a pot brownie or other pastry, I always wonder.  Don't they taste terrible?  I feel like I would rather chew and swallow the leaf, then eat the brownie.

It's amazing how slow a life you can live if you generate an extra $200 a week in social media ad money. That's 20 less hours you need to work*

/statement not valid if you live in places where rent is a bazillion dollars, because I can already hear you typing

We can't slow down until employers stop thinking that 50+ hours/week with 24/7 access to their employees via email/text/Slack/whatever is the norm.

I kinda like the taste. But it isn't strong. There's not a lot of dumping leaves and flowers into cookie batter. That would not taste good, mainly because of the texture.

THC and CBD are fat soluble, so do an extraction with oil or butter (many recipes on the internet) and use that in your cooking. The leaf is discarded. There are also several different extracts and concentrates available commercially, again just add those to whatever your cooking. They vary in strength of taste, but most are not strong.

To my taste buds, cannabis has a bit of a nutty flavor, so making a peanut butter cookie or adding peanut butter chips hides it well. But again, maybe it's acquired, but I don't mind the taste.

Speaking of, at the markets around me there are usually several brands of chocolate chips, but for peanut butter chips there's only Reece's. I've never seen another brand of PB chips for sale.

I think it's Nestle that has a mix of chocolate and PB chips, but for just PB only one brand. Not even a store brand generic.

What's up with that? How's did Reece's corner that market?

I have a high speed and often high pressure job. I can't say, "brah I can't go on this last-minute trip overseas for a two-day turn-around to fix this critical thing, brah. You need to, like, slow it down, brah. Maybe we can pencil the trip for next month for, like, a week or two. Make sure there's time to slow down, brah. Totally just chill."

It must be nice to be an influencer or whatever allows them the ability to slowmaxx all the time. If i try that shiat I'll be fired. And it's very antithetical to the web3 lifestyle, so I don't think crypto bros will be into it. You can't be slowmaxing while you're looking for that dip, dealing with FOMO and avoiding FUD.

That would be slowmaxxxing.

Slowmaxxing just sounds like a dumb term a life coach would come up with in order to justify their weekly fees.

They certainly can, if not prepared properly.  Excess plant matter can make your extract bitter and smell like weed.  Done right, it's more like grandma added a little extra cinnamon to the batter.  You can taste and smell it, but it's by no means offensive or overwhelming.  I use clarified Kerrygold butter as my oil base, which has its own intense buttery taste and smell.  That's what people usually taste in my cookies and it's delicious.

'You need to be reading long, fat books,' reads one Tweet. 'You need to be making 48-hour chocolate chip cookies. You need to spend hours watching wildlife, you need to spend 15+ min making your coffee. You need to breathe in and out. You need to be slow.'

You know what I "need"?

I need for people to STFU and leave me the hell alone. How come there's never any articles about minding your own damned business and stop critiquing everyone else? Or finding solutions to your problems WITHOUT dragging other people into it?

Sorry, but I made the 48-hour chocolate chip cookies and they were worth it. I took more time making them, using my work break time for prep steps instead of goofing off on my phone.

And I'm sure it's just psychosomatic, but spending the time over two days with each ingredient made the aromas and flavours stand out more, and the anticipation made that first cookie taste better. And I ate one cookie each day after that, instead of scarfing the whole batch.
