virulent_loser: the radio guys said that Rizzo is one of only...three? I think? players on the team with a WS ring. pretty mind-blowing, considering.

14 different teams have been to the WS since the Yankees last made an appearance, 3 of them thrice (HOU, LAD, SF) and 4 of them twice (BOS, KC, STL, TEX). unless you are a fan of the Twins, who are 0-18 in playoff games since they last beat the Yankees in Game 1 of the 2004 ALDS, or the Mariners who have only ever seen the World Series on TV, chances are your team has seen more playoff success than the Yankees in the past decade+.
