Nice story, although I do find it hilarious to imagine George Michael sitting at home watching Deal or No Deal.

He and his husband had a house here in Dallas not far from my neighborhood. I heard they were an incredibly nice couple.

Is it wrong I need snoopy Photoshopped into this picture

In place of the dog already sleeping on top of the doghouse, Snoopy-style?

Kitty2.0: What an unbelievable burden placed on that child. He's never going to have a moment's peace or be out of her sight.

My sister and my cousin both have "miracle babies" and both children are smothered and helicoptered 24/7 because their mothers are so "grateful."

There are millions of "miracle babies" born every day. Infertility is a big problem. It doesn't automatically make the parents dysfunctional helicopter parents. If anything, it may help these kids know they are so loved and wanted, their parents went through incredible financial difficulty, emotional and physical pain to make it happen.

I did ivf, kitty. And yes, I am grateful. Every f**king day.

I'm commenting on a sensationalist story with some personal experience, I am by no means amplifying it to every single person on earth who has struggled with becoming or being a parent. Please do not interpret it as anything other than that.

What part of the story is sensationalist to you? The initially anonymous money donor George Michael or the woman who had at least 13 rounds of IVF before finally conceiving a child she always wanted? You didn't say anything about the celebrity. Instead, it appears you are making a gross generalization about this woman, your relatives, and other women who have IVF and/or have kids later in life. You suggested these children born under such circumstances are at a severe disadvantage because of their parents.

I've never seen you refer to or even mention BabyGogo is a miracle baby or IVF procedures. Until today. I'm sorry you were offended.

I don't believe any child is a miracle baby. Regardless of how they got here. Including myself.

I am not one to blather on about it, though I have mentioned it a time or two.

You are entitled to your own feelings. But try to be understanding and tolerant of those who do believe, even if it seems like nonsense to you. This is not dismissing science in any way. I know my child wouldn't be here without it. And that is a miracle to me.

Fair enough, I meant no harm. It was 5 AM or some such nonsense, I'm exceptionally bitter about the Supreme Court asshattery and saw this and sniped it.

I had three abortions for a reason -- kids are not in my wheelhouse but I will never deny children are *gifts* to those who want them.

I guess, when it boils down to all of it, perhaps I don't believe in miracles. I would never intentionally hurt you. I love you to death, in fact. 🍻

Likewise, my friend 💕

I'm glad we were able to talk this out. 💕
