Yeah, that seems to have been forgotten here temporarily. They just repaved a major road. Parking lanes and bike lanes on each side, two lanes in each direction, and a turn lane. We got back from camping 2 weeks ago to discover they'd done the street. Lines JUST showed up yesterday. So it's been sketchy as dsrk, especially at night. Plus, we have people making a turn lane into a double turn lane, where one shouldn't be.

Unbelievable. Someone said that maybe it's a labor shortage. Fine, but don't schedule the paving unless the striping crew can be out the next day at the latest. Not two full weeks of rush hour traffic.

I hate to break it to her, but I don't think "ten ton trucks" existed in 1917.

A woman also invented the windshield wiper. And the traffic light was invented by a cop in Salt Lake City.

Ahhhh, back in the days when people invented simple, practical things. Nowadays, you have to be an engineer. All the easy shiat has already been invented. 🤣

It is illuminating that we think we are more politically divided than ever before, yet 100 years ago a woman dared to suggest we should separate traffic with visible lines and some people were like "Fark that, telling me where I can drive n shiat."
