But let's not talk about cats.

I am Tom Joad's Complete Lack of Surprise: But let's not talk about cats.

There aren't any wildcats in England. There may be feral or farm cats depending on the area, I guess, but you'd hope that the people behind it would take that into account.

Owners just don't like to think about their precious Bimbles becoming a killing machine when letting them out for walkies.

Oh, I'm not trying to argue that cats don't kill a lot of wildlife. I mean, in rural areas you'll specifically have cats as mousers. I'm just saying that presumably the people responsible for releasing the dormice have factored that into their plans.

/My favourite kill one of my cats ever did was when Sid caught me a bat; just an ickle pipistrelle, I think.
//But keep that info on the dl because all bats are protected species in the UK.
///The predatory nature of cats is mostly an issue in places cats haven't already been for millennia+.

Meanwhile, Hooters remains as the haven for titmice.

Why did I think it was "doormouse"? Like a mouse who lives by or goes through doors?
