Nova's were plentiful, cheap, and had lots of performance parts available.

I should ask. What was the Knight Rider car based on?

It's a Pontiac Trans Am. Apparently it is (was?) on Netflix, and they refer to it as a Trans Am whenever the police are chasing it and going "Wait, what kind of car is that?"

Impossible. The Camaro is well known for incinderating panties within 100km of its acceleration pedal. It was banned as a war crime in 1822. Obviously there was some time travel shiat involved.

Sure as hell looks like a Camaro to me.

Built a Camaro model kit of that vintage when I was a kid, and my brother had a 1969 Nova.

I had a 73 Nova also and it ate 5.0 Mustangs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Obviously it was not stock.  73 Novas were dogs in factory form.

After the first season, they stopped calling it a Trans Am, and it was referred to as a "black t-top"

Ah, okay. I deleted a lot of extraneous information from the previous post, but basically I only binge-watched a couple episodes from the first season with the wife this year because if you actually see a couple back to back, it's actually very bad. You can only listen to so many people say "That's some car!" or "What kind of car is that?!?" before you're like, "alright, I get the idea."
