"On her own terms" = Done herself in, I suppose.

A shame; I liked her stuff, when she did it, which wasn't often. But I respect her right to off herself, since it's her dollar  to spend.

The song "Into the Night" always scares the hell out of me because I forget the really loud horn section near the end.

I listened to the theme from Twin Peaks long before I watched the show. It's a hauntingly beautiful song, and so was "Falling".

/RIP Twin Peaks lady. Hope you and Log Lady are having a grand old time.

I was on the sound crew for one of her gigs after her big single came out. She had, by far, the softest voice of anyone I've ever worked with. We had the trim on her channel pegged, and the channel fader and master monitor fader also pegged, which has never happened in the history of ever, and she still had trouble hearing her monitors. Not because she was deaf, but because her voice was not even a whisper.

It's not so bad when you're listening to it on its own, it's when you're halfway through the album and it jumps you.

A couple months ago I started listening to the Twin Peaks soundtrack again.  An absolutely beautiful 40 minutes of music.

"I played her [B-52's song] Roam during her transition."

Wouldn't have been my choice, but better than "Meet the Flintstones."

That's interesting in light of the work she did later with the B-52s.  I read somewhere that she sat in for one of the women on tour to cover an absence.  Those ladies are not known for their vocal subtlety.  Everything is triple-f forte with them.

Both the TV show(s) and Fire Walk With Me soundtracks are excellent.

The composer, Angelo Badalamenti, is a Lynch staple, too. He even appears in cameo in Muholland Drive.

This is surprising. Did not know she worked with the B-52s. Will have to look for more info to see how that went. B-52s are partially responsible for some of my hearing loss. They took they high notes, Fishbone took the low. Both shows, front rows, near the stacks.

Julee's voice was unique, ethereal and lovely.

Those first two albums of hers were an important part of my life 2000-2002 during my days of quitting self injury and recovering from breaking up with the psycho girlfriend I had at the time, so this hits fairly hard.
