This makes sense if it reutilizes old banks (looking at you Chase).  If not, blegh, what a waste.

Nope, it's new construction, not a repurposed bank building.

(3 miles from my house)

3/4 of the drive-thru is mobile app orders?

Every place I see that cordoned off one of their drive-thrus for mobile only has rendered it mostly empty and forced long lines in the regular one.

People are stupid. We have a Culvers up the road from me that has two order points for the drive through. Everyone always goes to the one on the left and sits in a huge line while the one on the right sits empty. Both are equally open and available to drive up orders.
So of course the concept of ordering from your phone while in one line and then moving over to the other one to beat the whole crowd must be lost on people.

Terrible.  I think Taco Bell does this just so they don't have to add more in house toilets.

This is cool and all, but it drives me crazy still not being able to dine in at most locations. You've got to get that Taco Bell in your gullet asap to preserve the quality. Even a short drive home and anything crispy turns soggy as hell

Lame, there's no drive up window for flying cars.

They're missing out on getting kickbacks from the state for being a recycling center.

Pssst, Subby, there are Mexican Americans in every state in the Union, even Minnesota. Which means that there are excellent Mexican restaurants in every state - even Minnesota.

Except Ohio. Nothing good is in Ohio.

/of course, I live in NM, where you get the best Mexican food from Taco Bell

Dropping the food down a chute from the second floor just seems like a system asking for trouble. No matter how well designed it is, there's going to inevitably be spills. Fully cleaning out one of those tubes has got to be an issue.

Dumb waiters have been around for ever. I'm pretty sure manufacturers have gotten the kinks worked out over the centuries.

According to the Bell, a good portion of their online order business is from DoorDash/GrubHub/etc.  Jesus, people, what insanity makes getting T.B. delivered to you make any damned sense?  If you can't afford to drive there yourself, delivery fees are money you don't have.  And if you do have 'f you' money, you could afford to order from a million better places.

Was thinking this.  I can't even begin to count the number of drunk and/or stoned people making (or wanting to make) a run there.  On of my friend groups started appointing a DD specifically for Taco Bell runs.

There are significant Hispanic populations in southwest Minnesota and sometimes their food trucks drive to my town.

Just thought people should know.

And if you're inebriated enough to eat Taco Bell, then you're definitely inebriated enough that you shouldn't be driving.

I mean, Ralph Wiggum, an English speaker, failed English. Which I would have thought unpossible.
