But normal people need to afford it to make that and electric vehicles work. Also upgrades our electrical grids and more solar panels and wind turbines.

That'll be available in 20-30 years.

So it won't be street legal and it isn't fast enough for a true track car. Awesome.

Generating a couple of renders for a press release is easy.  Getting working vehicles to your customers in sufficient quantity is not.

It just looks like any other electric car but with gullwing doors so I don't really understand using DeLorean as your company name. It's not like the DeLorean name really holds any weight nowadays. If you're going to be DeLorean then why not just start making classic DeLoreans again that are electric? They could make 325 a year and not have to deal with any crash regulations or anything legally.

Niche luxury brands will always exist, gas or electric.  For the rest, the Nissan Leaf starts at $27k, the Ford F-150 Lightning starts at $40k, etc.  Given the pricing of other vehicles these days, that's fairly economical pricing for a new vehicle

Given the >$100k price and niche following they'll probably be hard pressed to sell more than 300 annually anyway. If they maintain the hype and tout the exclusivity they could probably keep up low volume sales for several years vs. overproducing the first year and selling the glut of unwanted vehicles at a loss in the following years.
