FTFA: "The winning slice is their top-selling Upside Down Square, a Sicilian-style pie with thick, soft crust first topped with cheese, then chunky tomato sauce."

Sounds dangerously close to an above-ground marinara swimming pool for rats.

Yes, I'm going to take culinary advice from a magazine for midwestern octogenarians.  I'm surprised that #1 isn't DiGiorno's.

It looks like Detroit style without the yummy crispy cheese edges, which of course makes it inferior to just regular old Detroit style =)

Well, you can all rest your spincters. The best pizza in the world is made by my husband Grumpy.

I'd try it..I like super crispy thin crusts, but I've long wanted to try a good Detroit style slice. This looks interesting. I mean I love bread and cheeses.

I detest tomato pie, I really ain't even like "gramma pie" which this basicamente is.

our nearby "authentic Italian family restaurant" actually makes a half decent pizza. except lately, the wife has been on a kick about their provolone pie. which is also exactly this, just round instead. why TF do I want a big goopy pile of cheese under sauce, when I can have Detroit or literally any other style with delicious bubbly caramelized cheese on top???

DNTRA.  Assuming it's the local small chain, it's decidedly OK.  I think they have three places.

My wife really likes it, only picked it up at the one in Toms River / Silverton. I probabaly drove by a good dozen or so other places that were better just to get there.

That's dangerously close to deep dish pizza which isn't pizza. This article is for and written by crackheads.
