The first season of Jessica Jones was the best Marvel tv ever, with the best villain as well.

Hm, I wish I could disagree with you, but JJ got me bored around episode 4, so I can't says you are wrong with my incomplete picture.

I thought Fisk was pretty freaking good from Daredevil. I'm due for some retro binge watching. Is season one worth revisiting for Jessica Jones?

I doubt JJ will be complimenting anyone.

Complementing, maybe.

The first season I enjoyed but the second season I also found it boring and I so love the lead actress.  one can only take a depressing character for so long unless that character is Fish

One thing I'm not satisfied with how they ended season 3 is the Trish situation. Reminded me of Buffy's hypocrisy when Willow handled some shiatheads that needed handling.

Id definitely add her to my legal staff.

Season 2 was ham-fisted and typical unimaginative nerd fiction.  "Ooooh, there's a BIG BAD out there as strong as Jessica.  Oh wow!  It's her MOTHER!!!"  {eyeroll}

Moar Trish please. I think the storyline had legs. There were a lot of ways to go with it. Celebrity vigilante? Though I am not looking forward to another serum makes a psycho story though.

/Maybe combine Tigra and Trish Walker's narratives.
//I think the actor made Trish's character work as well as it did.
///Luke is coming back too. I feel it. I want Nick Cage as a Marvel villian.

As in a few other Marvel TV series, I ended up being more interested in a B character's story than the lead's.  Jessica wasn't as fun to watch as Hellcat.  When she finally showed up it A) brought life to the show and B) the few moments she got weren't nearly enough.

I found it similar to watching Frank Castle on DareDevil.  When the Punisher showed up, it became his show for a while.

The Marvel shows are generally too much about dragging it out.  If they're going for suspense, they're failing.  If it's episode padding to make a decent length miniseries... OK.  Mission accomplished.  They're a decent length.

Yep. As much as I want to be happy about this and think there's a solid chance it will happen, no chance I'm trusting some vague shiat from a "who are these people and why should I find them credible?" site.

I like the MCU Marvel stuff, and the tie ins to the larger movie Universe.

I also think D'Onofrio's (sp?) KING PIN was a better performance as a billion.

However- I loved that Jessica Jones wasn't about an overpowered hero, she had a LOT of flaws, problems, and issues. The story she was going through did NOT have life ending or World catastrophic consequences, but at the same time had the same urgency for the characters involved.

They also perfectly matched the villian's vs. hero's powers and abilities- they were an even match, even though their powers were completely different from one another. Marvel TOO OFTEN has presented us with a good good vs bad guy scenario where the adversaries have matching or mirroring powers, so that effectively our protagonists are basically fighting themselves (Ant Man v. Yellow Jacket, Hulk Vs Abomination, Cap vs. RED Skull, Iron Man vs Iron Monger, T'Challa-Black Panther vs Killmonger-Black Panther...)

I also appreciated the fact that in Jessica Jones, act 3 wasn't an over-the-top CGI fest.

I mean, god forbid a superhero show should be about people with superpowers. You want a show about a non powered hot mess struggling through life? There are about a million of them. "Better Things" springs to mind, and it's a lot better written than J farking J.

I think it's great that Disney/Marvel is incorporating characters and actors from Netflix/Marvel into the MCU. The characters were generally good, even if the production quality and writing wasn't generally up to MCU standards (budgets are a thing, yo).

They did tend to have a pacing problem, with excessive dialog and exposition. I know the claim was "character development", but it more often felt like they were just trying to pad the episode count. The Disney/Marvel series have definitely solved that; If anything they've over corrected with 6 episode seasons.

So yeah, welcome back guys! Happy to see you!

Except you, Finn Jones and your take on Iron Fist as world's whiniest, most self-obsessed super hero. You can stay home. Also whoever trained you and choreographed those fight scenes can stay home with you and won't be missed.

I'm okay with this. Enjoyed JJ quite a bit. Now they need to "canonize" (or whatever) AoS and give us some more stories in that universe. I want more Melinda May, FitzSimmons, Mack and Yo-yo. Daisy can come and go, and Coulson could certainly be involved as much as Gregg wants to be. Also do the right thing and get the Ghost Rider series with Gabriel Luna.
