I hadn't heard that their suit against WotC had been settled withdrawn.  Good, I guess?

I prefer Long War over War of the Chosen any day.

That map on the page... I thought the proportions were off... then I realize Sanction isn't on the coast of the Newsea... that's kind of important and no matter what they say of time travel I don't think Tasslehoff can manage changing the location of one of the most important port cities post Chaos War.

Actually, that's where Jelek is supposed to be

Remember: The Chaos War never happened. All of the changes you saw in Age of Mortals we're undone, Jelek never existed.

NYK.

/Also; this is the last Dragonlance trilogy. Wizards is giving it a farewell 5th Edition campaign book and product line, along with reprinting EVERY DL module and Dragon Mountain (Weis did the story bits) in 5th AND 2nd Edition reprinting.

//FYI: Weis, Williams and Hickman are the last of the "Basement Team" - the OG creators of AD&D.

///Her retirement is going to be a national thing; she's the most popular female genre author in the 20th Century. Even Shirley Jackson is 2nd place.

Rereading them as an adult was painful

Per the article this a War of the Lance map. Jelek is less important since Nereka is still the regional capital, but that doesn't change that Sanction is a port city and the staging ground for the Dragonarmy since they can't fit all of them in the holy city (which was a village that suddenly found itself home to a massive temple to Takhisis overnight. Sanction just didn't get a major book until the Age of Mortals. I think the first significant scene with it was the second of Raisltin's biography when Kitara first visits it to join the Dragonarmy and it's not a long scene.
