On the upside, it's hard for the power boaters to generate a big wake.

Seinfeld sucked.

Michael Richards used socially unacceptable language at a person who was cajoling him during a stand up routine. Some feel this destroyed MR's career. As if there was a big demand for him after Steinfeld.

To be fair, the Laugh Factory in Hollywood isn't just "somewhere."

As the water level drops, the loss of water will accelerate, as the overall water temperature rises due to loss of thermal mass.

Say your goodbyes now, because that lake ain't long for the world.

I was watching Nova last night, about ice age footprints preserved in New Mexico, and trying to determine how ancient Americans lived. They pointed out that there used to be a big lake near there, that's why there were so many human and animal tracks all over, going to the lake for water. Obviously, now it's just white desert.

I just marathoned Seinfeld after not watching it at all for years since it was on air.

Richard's could've had a fine TV & standup career riding that show the rest of his life. But boy, instead he reached right out & grabbed that 3rd N-rail with both hands, didn't he.

It's pretty much the last stop for up-and-coming* comics before getting a TV show, so it is kind of a big deal. anchorman.jpg
But that's neither here nor there.

My impression is that Michael Richards had been so far removed from regular stand-up by that point that he had completely forgotten how to gracefully fend off a heckler. Also, IIRC, he was attempting a joke about race just before which can easily blow up in a white comic's face if they aren't experts with the material. Which again comes down to him not having done stand-up in a long while before that.

/* I'm well aware Richards was not up-and-coming by that point
//he was damn good in UHF which only makes his meltdown more painful

It depends.  The canyon/lake bed is V-shaped, so as the water level falls, there's less surface area and thus less loss to evaporation.  In some places, less solar insolation due to higher cliffsides and more time in shadow during the day will keep temperatures and losses down.  And, of course, once you hit deadpool, there's no more outflows for downstream uses.

"Lake Mead" will probably last for our lifetimes in a diminished form and will still have some potential recreational uses for those that can still manage a living there, but its time as a working body of water is rapidly coming to an end.

They get the crowd all laughy and giggly then have a guest on trying to make an apology.

Michael was on remote from some empty office in a studio building.  Jerry was the one in-house and trying to yell at people that it was a sincere apology.
